As the proverb puts it, a smile is the shortest distance between two people.In my opinion, a smile could bring people closer and we should smile as much as we can.Firstly, a smile may help ease the tension in personal relationship.For example, when we make a mistake, a smile of our parents may remove our fears, what’s more, give us the courage to amend and make progre.During the proce, we become closer to our parents.Secondly, a smile may help break the ice between two strangers.For instance, when we fall down on the ground, we will be grateful if a stranger with a smile on his or her face gives a hand to us.We’ll suddenly feel warm in the heart and feel the distance between the stranger and us is much shorter, and if we are lucky enough, we make a new friend.To conclude, a smile could be an effective way to shorten the distance between people.Hence, it is advisable for people to smile more, not only to our beloved ones but also strangers.By doing so, we can build a more harmonious world and live a happier life.
