Film Review of Modern Times The film I want to talk about is one of Chaplin’s most famous movies, which is named Modern Times.It was an excellent work directed by Chaplin.It was in 1930s in America.The depreion made it hard for people to live a normal life.At the same time, the factories began to use machines and as a result, lots of workers were dismied.Those who remained had to face the boring and busy work.They are supposed to do their job just like machines, which made them go insane.They felt terrible and upset.Ciarlo, the protagonist played by Chaplin lost his work at last and joined the huge torrents looking for work.He thought the prison to be the only suitable place to survive the machine times.Thought having made a lot of attempts, he failed.To our surprise, he won the love of the girl that he had helped.The film was a profound reflection of social reality at that time.It allows people to see the dark and irrational capitalist social system in laughter.In the beginning of the film, a large group of workers flowed into the factories, which is ridiculous.This leaves a deep impreion on me.I feel the miserable life of the poor in machine times.I feel their upset and think it is the failure of Capitalist production.The film is full of confliction.It is provoking and is thought to be one of the best silent films.After watching the film, I know more about why Chaplin is thought to be one of the greatest Comedians in history.He is venerable and will be remembered by the world.
