西南民族大学艺术学院皮影协会成立于2006年，是我校动画系师生与成都中国皮影馆合作建立的中国第一个集皮影原创表演和皮影动画制作于一身的新型皮影社团。建立六年来已有成员五十余人，制作完成皮影动画短片两部，原创皮影戏两台，皮影纪录片一部，学术论文九篇，学习表演传统皮影戏若干部，并代表我校、成都中国皮影馆及相关单位进行各种皮影表演几十场次。积累了丰富的创作和表演经验，在弘扬传统文化的同时与现代动画艺术进行演绎结合，为皮影艺术在新时代的发展以及动画艺术的多样性研究贡献着我们的力量。
Leather-silhouette aociation of the Southwest University for Nationalities was founded jointly by teachers and students of animation department and Chinese Leather-silhouette Museum of Chengdu in 2006.It is the first new type leather-silhouette aociation in China, which combined original leather-silhouette performance with leather-silhouette animations.It has already been founded for six years and has fifty members.During the six years, members of leather-silhouette aociation have finished two leather-silhouette animated short subjects, two original leather-silhouette plays, one leather-silhouette documentary and nine academic diertations about leather-silhouette.Meanwhile the aociation members have learned numerous traditional leather-silhouette plays and represented the Southwest University for Nationalities and Chinese Leather-silhouette Museum of Chengdu to do dozens of performance.During the six-year practice of the leather-silhouette aociation members，they have not only gained rich creative and performing experience but also combined traditional culture with modern animation art and contribute to development of leather-silhouette art and diversity of animation art in new age.2006年，历经半年的时间创作完成西南民族大学首部皮影动画《三英战吕布》，获2006 南京国际数码博览会动漫大赛“优秀作品奖”，以及第七届北京电影学院学院奖“入围作品奖”。
In 2006, after half-year creative work, the leather-silhouette aociation members finished the first leather-silhouette animation, Three Heroes Combating Lu Bu, which won outstanding award of Animation Competition in Nanjing International Digital Exhibition and Academy Award nomination.2006年底皮影动画申报为西南民族大学重点科研项目并纳入动画专业课程教学当中。
By the end of 2006, leather-silhouette animation was reported as the Southwest University for Nationalities key scientific research and was drawn into animation department teaching system.2007年在成都中国皮影馆馆长赵宏老师的指导下，学习并表演的第一部传统皮影戏《猪八戒吃西瓜》荣获2007年 “56个月亮”中国西部大学生动漫节 “特别节目奖”。
In 2007, under the guidance of Zhao Hong, curator of Chinese Leather-silhouette Museum of Chengdu, the leather-silhouette aociation members learned and performed the first traditional leather-silhouette paly Pigsy Eating Watermelon which won the Special Award of 56 Moons-West China Collegiate Animation Festival.2008年首部原创皮影戏《白蛇传》在第三届“56个月亮”中国西部大学生动漫节的舞台上首次与观众见面，赢得了好评，获得优秀表演奖。
In 2008, the first original leather-silhouette play The Legend of the White Snake made it first appearance on the stage of The Third 56 Moons-West China Collegiate Animation Festival with loud applause and won Excellent Performance Award..2009年，经过三个年级同学的共同创作，第二部皮影动画片《地狱惊魂记》制作完成，该
片荣获2009年北京电影学院动画学院第九届动画“学院奖”“最佳学生作业奖”。以及第四届56个月亮西部大学生动漫节“最佳定格动画奖”。
In 2009, with cooperation of the students from 3 different grades, the second leather-silhouette animation Psycho in Hell was finished and won Academy Award and Best Student Work Award of The Ninth Animation Competition held by Animation School of Beijing Film Academy.This play also won Best Stop Motion Animation Award in The Forth 56 Moons-West China Collegiate Animation Festival.2010年，第二部原创皮影戏《昭君出塞》创作完成。该剧还在成都中国皮影馆的组织下，在成都会展中心与现场观众进行了亲密的接触，得到了观众的喜爱和好评。
In 2010, the leather-silhouette aociation members finished the second original leather-silhouette play Zhao-jun Exiting the Fortre.Under organization of Chinese Leather-silhouette Museum of Chengdu, this play won loud applause at Chengdu Exhibition Center.2010年至今，新的两部皮影动画短片《镜花缘》和《倾国倾城》也在制作当中。西南民族大学皮影协会的特点就是传承与发展，尤其在“新”字上不断努力。希望作品在不久的将来能够与观众见面，取得更多的成绩。
Since 2010, the leather-silhouette aociation members have been committing to 2 new leather-silhouette animation short projects The Marriage of Flowers in the Mirror and Wondrous Beauty.Now the two short projects are still working on and will meet the audience soon.Wish they can gain more reorganization.2011年7月，动画系刘葵老师带队深入巴中进行了纪录片《未消逝的巴中皮影人》的拍摄，学习了解了巴中皮影的制作和表演。
In July 2011, teacher Liu Kui of animation department leaded a team into Bazhong area to film a documentary Unexpired Bazhong Silhouette People and also to learn the producing and performing skills in Bazhong area.西南民族大学皮影协会一直与成都中国皮影馆携手合作，将中国历史悠久的非物质文化遗产——皮影艺术在新的时代用我们特有的方式传承下去并发扬光大。更多的人通过他们的努力进一步的认识皮影、喜爱皮影，共同发现皮影艺术的闪光点，让皮影艺术走进人们的生活，让世界也更加了解我们民族民间传统皮影艺术的独特魅力。
Leather-silhouette Aociation of the Southwest University for Nationalities has always cooperated with Chinese Leather-silhouette Museum of Chengdu to inherit and develop the time honored intangible cultural heritage of leather-silhouette in our special way.Through their efforts, more people will know the leather-silhouette, love leather-silhouette and find the spark spot of leather-silhouette.Let leather-silhouette art walk into people’s life and let the world have a further understanding of the attractivene of our traditional folk leather-silhouette art.
