目前,有不少望子成龙、盼女成凤的家长都希望孩子能够在接受正常教育的前提下,再接受一项或几项特长教育,以便于孩子掌握更多的技能,去迎接未来的挑战。于是,以培养孩子某些特殊能力为目的的各种特长教育应运而生,诸如书法班、美术班、舞蹈班、音乐班等等,应有尽有不一而足。
由于某些家长在思想认识上的错误,致使特长教育进入了种种误区:
其一:一厢情愿。进特长班学习,对于许多孩子来说都不是心甘情愿的,有相当一部分是由家长一手包办,不少孩子对究竟该学什么好、自己是否适合进行特长教育等问题都心中无数,报名参加特长班的学习完全是家长的一厢情愿。如此,若孩子对所学的内容缺乏学习兴趣,这不但收不到应有的教育效果,反倒会阻碍孩子情商和智商的正常发展。
其二:贪多求全。一些家长盲目认为多学总比少学好,今天让孩子学钢琴,明天让孩子学美术,过两天又让孩子改学书法。不堪重负的孩子,平时忙双休日也忙,除了要完成学校布置的家庭作业外,还要忙写字弹琴或绘画,难怪有些孩子会发出这样的感慨:放学后,我宁愿被老师留下来也不愿立即回家!
