Thoughts on the call of the wild The novel “The call of the Wild” having been famous around all over the world, was written by Jack London who has abundant experience.It tells a story as to a dog’s adventure and how he becomes the leader of wolves.As it is same as every literary works, viewpoints on it vary from person to person.Some people think, the novel expre its favor of violence and power, in spite that London himself pursuits peace and equality.However, the other people hold the idea it contains a lot of philosophical views.In my humble opinion.This novel gives an account of story of how does one learn to grow up in terrific terrible environment.Frankly, I enjoy this novel not only because how wonderful and exciting its plot is, but also for it really teach me something in my whole life.As a consequence, I would like to recommend it to both my clamates and my friends.For the meanwhile , there is some analysis I have summed up which are follows: In the first place , among the story, there is no doubt that, Buck is my favorite role, no matter how cruel he is in the end.Buck, a powerful dog, is half St.Bernard and half sheepdog.In this case, I think it is gene that determines his wildne in his heart.As we all know, sheepdog, with special energy as neceary aistant of herdsman, is very clever and brave.Someone draw it “atavism” or animal’s recovery of instincts of his wild ancestor.”he has visions of himself as a primitive wild creature, hunting his prey in the primeval forests” In the second place, when confronting the damnable surroundings which means “No fights , NO lives”.In other words, we have a popular saying “you never know how strong you are until you have no choice but to be such.There are some clues we can attain from the novel, when Buck attempts to attack one of he men who have seized him, only to be beaten repeatedly with club.When he saw the brutal killing by a group of vicious sled dogs, he was completely departure from the old and comfortable life of a pet in warm climate, as a result ,he entered into a new world where the only law is “the law of club and fang”, even though he still had to pull sleds for humans.Last but not the least, I feel the loyal and honor between Buck and Jhon Thornton in the novel, which moved me most.As Buck’s last master, he presents us with good and natural relationship in the human-dog.We can see the mutual respect and help of each other ,.At first ,Thornton saves Buck, and Buck later saves Thornton from drowning in a river.It is obvious that Buck is more of a partner than a servant to Thornton.I almost can’t stop crying when reading the plot particularly when Thornton was killed by the Yeehat Indians scatter, and Buck cut their throats with fangs and killing several of them.At that time , I realize ,it is the deep love to Thornton that delays the recovery of Buck’s wild.Buck cares nothing in human world but his master or friend Thornton.In a word , i would have a pity if I did not read this book, for not only its words but also its spirit.REMARKS: Firstly, I am sorry for not finishing the homework as required.Because of my poor English vocabulary ,it is hard for me to write 1500 words.What is more , this is first time for me to write my thoughts on reading novel, there are surely many mistakes.Thank you for correcting it!
