PREREQUISITES: Securities Investment Analysis

CLASS FORMAT: In some cla seions , a leading investment profeional will spend the first half of the cla discuing his general investment philosophy.In the second half of the cla ,the practitioner and the instructor will answer student’s questions.There are two discuion seions for reading materials and two investment projects.REQUIRED READINGS: the book of 《Succe In the Wall Street 》.Case-related reading materials(such as annual reports)will be handed out in cla.There is a substantial amount of reading required for weekly studies.BASIS FOR FINAL GRADE: Cla participation(10%), two discuion clae(30%), and two investment projects(60%).ABSTRACT OF COURSES AND OBJECTIVES:

This course will introduce students to a variety of investment styles and strategies as practiced by leading investment profeionals.In some cla seion, the guest lecture will spend approximately one-half of the cla discuing his or her general investment philosophy.In the other half of the cla, the practitioner and the instructors will answer questions.IN investment project presentations, students and instructors will explore the investment merits of at least one specific company.The company will be identified in advance and students will be expected to use the library’s resources , material handed out in cla, and their ingenuity to addre a set of pre-specified questions relating to the firm’s investment values and some investment style.Students will be expected come to cla prepared to discu and hand in their answer.第一讲
