Dream for Ourselves
Honorable judges，dear teachers.The topic of my speech today is “dream for Ourselves ”.In the first day of my oral English course，our teacher asked us to think about what we would be doing ten years from now.“Go to America and many an America girl，”a guy student said.He thought it might be one of the best ways to learn English well.What beautiful dreams we used to have！But now all everybody is busy doing a double major，stuffing their heads with straight As，intern ships，exchange programs。It is said that dreams should be relevant to reality.If dreams are simply“reality shows“，can they still be called dreams？A couple of weeks ago，I read the story of Ma Yan，who had to drop out of school because of poverty.She said she wanted to go to school so that her family could live a better life.Steven Jobs，CEO of Apple Couputer，once said，“Our time is limited.So don’t waste it living someone else’s life.”I think it’s especially true with us twenty somethings，who are sort of feeling disoriented in face of dream and reality.The other night，my roommate complained to me what little memory she would have for her college days.true！
Today’s dream might become tommorrow’s reality reality and day after tommorrow’s memory.But if we are not dreaming for ourselves，where can the memery come from？And plus，if we can’t even master our own dream，how can we master the future of our society？teacher，with the
advances in science and technology，we are faced with more of a dilemma than ever；the controversy over surrogate mothers；the right way to treat animal；the pros and cons of the online pop cultur.There might never be definite answers to these questions，but how we judge and envision them to be will decide the future of us all Luckily，I want to be a bridge of this kind，and with this dream in mind，I know that I’ll have not only a future ahead，but also a precious memory behind.This is the end of my speech.Thank you very much.Thank you!

今天我演讲的题目是“为自己的梦想”。在第一天我的英语口语课，老师让我们想想我们会做什么从现在开始的十年。”去美国，成为一个美国女孩，”一个学生说。他认为这可能是其中一个最好的方法来学习英语。我们曾经有过些多么美丽的梦！但现在大家都在忙着主休两个专业，把自己的头脑充实得很优秀，实习„„，计划„„。这就是说，梦想应该是很现实的。如果梦想很容易就被实现，那还能被称为梦想吗？几个星期前，我阅读的故事：马艳，因为贫困而不得不辍学。她说她想上学，所以她家人能过上更好的生活。史提芬乔布斯，苹果电脑的首席执行官，曾说，“我们的时间是有限的。所以不要浪费时间活在别人的生活里。“我认为对于那些深表迷乱的人面对梦想和现实来说，这再现实不过了。某天晚上，我的室友对我抱怨说她上大学的日子里的记忆太少了。真的！今天的梦想可能会变明天的现实和后天的记忆。但是如果我们不去为自己的梦想而努力，那么梦想的记忆有从哪里来呢？并且，如果我们甚至不能掌握自己的梦想，我们如何能掌握未来的社会？老师，随着科学技术的进步，我们比以往任何时候都面临着更多的难题；争议的代孕母亲；正确的方式来对待孩子；网上流行的文化。有可能不会明确回答这些问题，但是我们如何判断和设想他们将决定我们的未来是否是幸运的，因此，我也要成为一座桥梁，带着这个梦想，我知道我不但会有一个未来，还会有珍贵的回忆。我的演讲结束了。谢谢。
