My Favorite Teacher
Everybody may have their own admired people deep in their heart, so do I.In my life, I’ve met many good teachers.If I were asked to choose my favorite teacher , absolutely, without hesitating, I would select Mr.Xie, my primary school teacher who made the most important difference in my life.Mr.Xie is a small old thin man with the left arm always dangling from his shoulder, which is because he suffered poliomyelitis when he was young.Each time he wrote on the blackboard, his left arm hung on his shoulder like a dead wood.Weak though his body is, nobody could dare to disobey him, for he was mentally powerful.Before he appeared, the cla was like boiled water, but the moment he was at the door, the cla turned quiet like a still lake.I can’t explain why, maybe he was charming.Mr.Xie was the teacher I ever had who could encourage students most, and owing to that, many people , including me, changed.A lazy, slow and stupid pupil turned into an industrious, quick and promising student.At that time, I hated studying and never did homework.If I had to do, I would copy others.As a result, I did poor in studying.But once, I took part in an art contest, and my work, a picture, helped me get an award.I was pretty happy then.Mr.Xie praised me in front of the cla and told me, “Do you want more awards? If you want, try harder, both in painting and studying.I believe in you guy.” Upon I hearing this, I was encouraged a lot deep down.It’s at that point of time that I made up my mind to study hard because I waslonging for being praised.Nothing could make me happier except being praised especially by my teacher in the cla.He was encourage me, I know.So, I had a desire to be a thriving student from then on, and that being so, I did well in my study later.I am pushed forward by the force all the time, and I keep moving.Mr.Xie was another Confucius in my world.I enjoyed disciplined by him, and taught by him.He not only taught me knowledge of books, but also about life.Once ,I never ate eggs because I thought them are disgusting.But he told us that he ate an egg everyday and so should us kids who were in the important stage of growth, and only did we ate all kinds of foods can we grow up healthily.So the next day I asked mom for an egg, and she was surprised, thinking how come it could happen that I would eat an egg.Mr.Xie really made a big influence on me.I must thank him.He not only taught me knowledge of books, but also attitude toward life, and that is count.He and everything about him will live in my mind forever.
