A comparison between Chinese and Western wedding Introduction In modern life, wedding is an important part of human’s life.When you want get a marriage, wedding is the first thing that you should consider.But Chinese and Western in wedding are different.Today, I will make a comparison between Chinese and Western wedding.In my opinions, those differences reflect in four parts.In western wedding, Weddings normally take place in a church.The bride usually wears white wedding dre which symbolizes happine and purity.The bride was gorgeous in her white wedding gown and the groom was very dashing in his black tuxedo.However, Chinese traditional wedding with the bride and groom when the red dre, a symbol of good luck, indicates the days after marriage is booming.There are many causes of those differences.But the most important result of the differences between Chinese and Western wedding is the different religions.In addition to religions, the character traits are also the reason of those differences.Now, I will make the comparison by two big parts.Chapter ⅠA comparison between Chinese and Western wedding In western wedding, during the whole wedding, the bride will wear a white wedding gown and holding a bouquet of flowers in her right hand.To the church wedding ceremony is the most important aspects of the wedding.First of all, with the rhythm of the wedding march, the bride of here father’s harne hands before the groom came from her father that she personally handed the hands of the bridegroom.Pastor will ask the bride and groom to make a lifetime commitment to each other, and this is the climax of the wedding.And then they will be priests and to the people’s bleing, exchanges the marriage rings and ki each other.Marriage vows are promises a couple makes to each other during a wedding ceremony.I was learnt the promise word by the teleplay which named The vampire diaries.The details of promise is from this day forward, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, will you love her ,comfort her ,honor and protect her, forsaking all others ,be faithful to her ,as long as you both shall live? Then both of the bride and the bridegroom will give their answer to show their love.In Chinese wedding, during the wedding, after riding in the red bridal bride , the groom rode in front, with the matchmaker ,an the Bridal teams to groom the family wedding.Beth parents sit on the court, while the bride and groom were married the next hall.The whole wedding presided over by the master of ceremonies, under the command of his, a bride and groom preparing for the wedding.The first kowtow is for the heaven and earth, the second for the parents and the third for each other!In some places, they have the customs of crying marriage.The bride, who covered by a red head-kerchief, must cry with her mother.Finally the bridegroom accompanies the bride marches into the nuptial chamber.Also the foods in Chinese traditional wedding are very special.In traditional weddings, the bride usually has red dates, peanuts, longan and melon seeds.The meaning is evident in the Chinese pronunciation of these four foods.When they are said together, it sounds like “Have a baby soon.” 1.1 The difference between the wedding locations In western countries, weddings normally take place in a church.The western wedding includes ceremony and banquet two parts.The ceremony is held frequently in the church and the close relatives and good friends are invited.The banquet is le heavenline than the ceremony.The newlywed will invite more friends to participate.But there are some couples will chose a park as their wedding locations.However, a Chinese wedding will hold at their home or in a hotel.In modern life, more and more young people hold their wedding-banquets in hotel.Income of wedding-banquet becomes one of the main incomes of modern hotel.1.2 The wedding dre and the main color In western wedding, both the bride and bridegroom have wedding rings.It should be worn on the ring finger, which is believed to be connected with the heart.It is something like that if the couple put the rings on their ring finger.they both put each other in their heart.In the West, white is the traditional color for wedding drees.In Western weddings, newlywed always wears white wedding drees, giving a sanctity and elegant beauty, symbolizing rarity and purity of love.On the Chinese wedding, there aren’t wedding rings in the traditional wedding.But with time goes by, the wedding ring is become a symbolic gesture of love.In contrast to the western white wedding dre, at a traditional Chinese wedding, the bride is usually asked to wear red which be tokens jubilance and bli.Also traditional Chinese weddings are always filled with red things to bring auspicious bleings and respects.1.3 The wedding ceremony The western wedding ceremony is very romantic, as the ceremony begins;the groom and his attendants stand with the minister, facing the audience.Then, the minister announces the beginning of the wedding.He will say, we are gathered here this day to unite this man Tom and this woman Lucy in the bonds of holy matrimony which is an honorable estate.Into this, these two now come to be joined.The next is the time of charges and requires, the minister will say, if anyone present can show just and legal cause why they may not be joined, let them speak now or forever hold their peace.Be aured that if any persons are joined together otherwise than as God’s word allows, their marriage is not lawful.There isn’t question, so the minister will begin to ask the bridegroom, Tom, do you take Nicole Kidman for your lawful wedded wife, to live together after God’s ordinance, in the holy estate of matrimony?
