My College life

Nowadays there are growing numbers of students who tend to pursue their further study in college.From their perspective, our people have stepped into the area of information technology.In the 21century, as if more and more areas are related to high technology and profeional knowledge.some even claim that only owning a certain kind of skill can they survive in the growing competitive job market., however, with an increasing enrollment of students in college can they really find a decent job after graduation and what the purposes of going to college are.Can they get what they want after four years’ study?

We are expected to have academic training in college.We want to learn as much as poible after entering college.Even learn to spare our free time properly and change our leaning method which is totally different from our previous one.The purpose is to improve our problem-solving ability.In other words, it is what you learnt that make sense rather than the degree you get.Firstly, there are so many chances for students to enlarge

their horizon of knowledge.It is not only the general knowledge, but also the academic knowledge, which is very significant for them.Students can accumulate their academic knowledge in cla as-well as do some exercise to solidify what they learned.Secondly, it is important for students to learn how to get along with other students and how to cooperate with partners who study or work in the same group.In recent days, I find I am not work as hard as before.Sometimes I do not listen to the teacher carefully.So I need to adjust myself.With the enrollment of students soared in our college, the resources are quite limited.for example , our library is quite outdated and many books are very old ,which definitely can not meet our students’ needs and keep up with the rapid change of knowledge.some students even complain about some teachers are not qualified.They pay much attention to high marks and teach without having ever experience such kind thing.Some courses are so abstract that even they do not them well.For us major in English, maybe English are supposed to use as a communication tool.So we always read loudly in the morning or recite some famous articles in order to have a good sense of English.But since our college is especially related to money and profits, the authority does not take our interests into consideration.They always make us have winter holiday very early, which makes us crazy.There is a huge difference between our college and the top universities in the

world.The system is totally different.After watching the movie of the top universities in American, we know that the American system has three obvious features: diversity, autonomy and competitive.Each feature for establishing excellent research university is of vital importance.Each university decides it to a certain development goal;determine their advantage, which makes sure the university can appoint people by abilities.Their excellent teacher plays a vital role in the students’ life.They tell them how to think critically and teach them in an attractive way.The college requires students to have a wide knowledge that happens around them and the world.The succe of American university is that they educate profeionally with general attention, especially career and living environment changes, requires them to understand different culture and critical thinking, but our system is too examination-oriented.The public pay much attention to high marks.They neglect to cultivate our practical skills, which causes a growing number of students worry about their future.This phenomenon seldom appears in America.Because they cultivate students with a certain purpose.Another purpose is to cultivate taste and temperament.In the past years, there were few college students.In people’s mind, college students are expected to have special knowledge, taste and temperament, which makes them stand out among ordinary people.They think college students have a prosperous future and reach a high peak of their life.But it takes a long time to form good taste and temperament, which helps them to leave good impreions not only on people around us, but also on employers after graduation.This is also a slow and long proce.But for college students, it calls for joint efforts both from college and themselves.College major leaning can not be used as the sole weapon.Since various practical skills and comprehensive quality is their life-long benefit and treasure.In fact, the modern university has paid attention to students’ practical skill.Many ability and quality are from the profeional training.Our college fails to create the atmosphere that a college should have.It is still being under construction and the resources are quite limited.During the time a student spent at university, he not only develops his intellectual activities, he also develops social skills as well as knowledge and wisdom neceary for choosing a future career.By leaning how to balance intense study and recreation, a student will be well prepared for the challenges of future responsibilities.College offers us an opportunity to have a better understanding of human nature.We are gradually influenced by culture and people around us.Finally get to

know something that we never know and get to know people in an intense way, which helps us to form a good nature.In the past years ,people of our parents’ generation hold the idea that time spent at a college is a worthwhile period in a young person’s life.Some people support the idea that the purpose of studying in a college is just to get a degree.I am strongly against it.In my opinion, through study in a college, we are supposed to obtain the basic knowledge or skills necearily in our career, which will definitely have a great impact on our future life.Life in a university is the epitome of the life outside the university.Some personalities have made huge succe in the fields without an university diploma, include confidence independence an optimistic attitude to life and well master of our major, all of which not only lead us to have an advantage over other people when pursue the same kind of job, but also benefit us all of our life.College can also cultivate our independent thinking ability.After entering college, we find, to our surprise, that difference between high school and college are great.In high school, we always depend on our teachers and parents to cope with a variety of problems.However in college we are expected to rely on ourselves.What’s more, learn to do such things as making decisions on how to spend our time, money and so on.This is the first time for some students to leave their parents and meet people from different family backgrounds.So college provides opportunity for them to show their potential ability and handle personal relationship.From this way, they learn to get along with people adapt to an environment that is totally different from the previous one.So it offers them an opportunity to acquire experience about our society.In the past year, we often did as our patents told whether it is right or wrong, but after entering college, we can get acce to people of variety kinds.So nowadays we do things with a second thought even if our parents say it is true.In college, we are supposed to approach high technology, especially computer from which we get a lot of information.The knowledge we get from our experience also changes our concept about people, sometimes we argue with our patents and tell them something they never hear.During the past three years, our college is under construction all the time, about which many students are complaining.In order to admit more students, it has built many dormitories and our college changes a lot.But to some degree, our resources are quite limited;especially some computers are very old and can not operate normally, which influence us a lot.So I suggest our college to transform some

facilities in order to meet our need and built some better basketball playground for our entertainment.In recent years, the increasing enrollment of students makes the job market more and more competitive.Some students worry about their future since they enter this college.Some are even forced to choose the major which they have no interest in.on one hand the school authority should take our future into consideration and give us some advice on how to adjust ourselves when we morn in depreion.As we all know mental health is becoming an increasingly trouble-some iue for undergraduates.Many students are learning with preures.The school counseling center staffs are expected to expand and improve mental health services on campus.I hope we can learn more and have a happy college life through the joint efforts between us and the college.
