Practical Writing Letters of Invitation
邀请信是邀请亲朋好友或客户、知名人士等参加如宴会、聚会、文艺演出、展览等活动时所发的请约性书信。
邀请信的书写格式分为正式和非正式两种。非正式邀请信通常适用于一些平常事情的邀请，邀请人与被邀请人之间很熟悉，具有简短、热情的特点。正式的邀请信通常用于商务活动中。请柬（Invitation Card）也属于正式邀请信。请柬的格式严谨而固定。一般适用于较庄重严肃的场合。
邀请信的内容通常包括：
1.说明邀请对方参加什么活动及邀请的原因；
2.告知对方活动安排的细节及注意事项，如地点、参加人员、人数、日期、具体时间、需要做哪些准备及所穿服饰等等；
3.为了方便安排活动，如有必要，可注明对方需予回复，以及一些其他的要求事项等。
