《牛忙》翻译

1、Arthur went back to his lodging feeling as though he had wings.He was absolutely ,cloudlely happy.亚瑟回到宿舍，心里特别高兴，一丝愁云也没有。

“as though he had wings”作者翻译为“心里特别高兴”而没有译为“像长了翅膀一样”，运用了意译的手法，使读者更容易理解，He was absolutely ,cloudlely happy.运用了减词的手法，He was absolutely虽然没有翻译，但行文简练，避免“他”形成重复感，增加了文章的美感。

2、In the evening he went to the seminary ,where he found Montaneli entertaining the new Director and looking both tired and bored.傍晚，他去了神学院，蒙泰里尼正在招待那位新来的院长，看上去他对这位院长不胜其烦，神情颇为疲惫却又无可奈何。

“tired and bored “作者运用了意译的手法，将短短的三个字译为不胜其烦，神情颇为疲惫无忧无可奈何。而不是单纯的译为“神情劳累与烦躁”使文意更加明确，更能表达当时蒙泰里尼的那种情绪状态，用词颇具美感。
