ordinary people in New York City.Typical for O.Henry's stories is a twist of plot which turns on

to strggle with the desease,she onle have ten percent to alive.But if she have strong feelings want
to survive the doctor will have five percent chance to make her get well.The weakne girl have
lost the courage to survive.Everday she count the remaining leaves on the ivy vine throngh the
window of the ward.She said , “When the last one falls I must go, too.I've known that for three
days.Didn't the doctor tell you?”.Her friend told she dolt idea to their frind an old painter who
always got drank and had been always about to paint a masterpiece, but had never yet begun it.The old painter regarded himself as especial mastiff-in-waiting to protect the two young artists in the studio above.Finally the kind pinter for her alive disposed his lifethe old pinter he paint a l
green and yellow colors mixed leaf on the wall at the night that the last leaf fell.It is a stroming
night ,the heavy rain made him contract with pneumonia,becaue he is old the pneumonia cant be
cured.He dead to-day in the hospital.When I finashed the story I was deeply moved by the old
painter Behrman.Spirit is strong and it can beat with desease.Sue she was so sadly.There are so
many things she hasn't done and there still have many peple who love her and hope she can
recover from the bad desease.But she She even forgect her dream that some day she hope to paint
the Bay of Naples, untill she see the unfall leaf.People should remembre why she alive all the
time and the value of life.Sometimes only for a important person,sometime only for a thing we
haven't done.Life is valuable,it cannot decided by a leaf.I don't fund of sue even heat her.She
should have reponseble for herself,but what she did is only to make the people who care her
worried about her.Waiting for dead is unreasonable.sue wish is wiat to dead when the last leaf
down from the old tree.The old painter scrifide his life for the girl.His painting is a really
masterpiece which save a life.It is the painter spirit make it greater,
