One Sweet Morning, a co-commiioned symphony by China and US philharmonics to mark the 10th anniversary of 9/11, staged its Asian debut in Shanghai Saturday, xinhuanet.com reported.John Corigliano, renowned US composer said the poem entitled, Fighting South of the Wall, by Tang Dynasty poet, Li Bai, inspired him when he was composing the symphony.He combined the poem with 3 other war-themed poems, from different ages and countries into his orchestral music with English chants.据新华网报道，由中美两国交响乐团共同委约创作的“9·11”十周年纪念作品——《甜美的早晨》26日在上海举行亚洲首演。中国唐代诗人李白的《战城南》成为美国著名作曲家约翰·科里利亚诺的灵感之源。他将这首诗和其它3首不同国家、不同时代的战争诗歌以英语歌咏的形式表现在他的交响乐中。
