This is a 15-week intensive Japanese language course to learn grammar and useful expreions.You must attend the following claes 5 days a week for 15 weeks.(1 cla = 90 minutes)The levels are based on the result of placement test.课程级别由日语测试来划分

Cla : Japanese Grammar(5 claes for B&C cla, 4 claes for D cla)日语语法

* You must attend all Grammar claes at the first period(8:50-10:20).第一节课必须参加

Conversation & Speech, Listening Comprehension, Reading Comprehension, Composition, and Japanese Culture.交流，演讲，听力，阅读，作文，日本文化

2.STANDARD COURSE标准课程

This course is designed to accommodates all international students studying in Gifu University.为全部来岐阜大学的国际学生准备

1)GRAMMAR CLASS语法课

In this course, students learn Japanese grammar and acquire proficiency in Japanese.The General Course includes: a)Beginner & Elementary level claes(4 claes per week)初级课程 b)Intermediate level claes(3 claes per week)中级课程 The duration of each cla is 90 minutes.The levels are based on the result of placement test.2)LANGUAGE SKILL CLASS语言技巧课

Oral practice IB & Listening Comprehension: This cla is intended for elementary level students.为初级学生设计 Japanese for Academic Purposes:学术目的的日语教学

This cla is intended for intermediate to advanced level students.The purpose is to improve the students' language skills in relation to academic matters, such as reading specialized texts and papers, writing academic eays, understanding lectures and making seminar presentations.为日语中高级学生，旨在提高学生学术语言技巧，例如阅读文章和论文，写作学术论文，理解讲座和制作研讨会演示文稿。

Notes:注意

1.Students can attend both courses(GRAMMAR CLASS and LANGUAGE SKILL CLASS)if they wish.语法课和语言技巧课可以同时上。

3.JAPANESE LANGUAGE AND CULTURE STUDIES COURSE(Only from Oct.)日本语言和文化课（日语专业）

This is a one-year program for those who are majoring in the Japanese Language and Culture at their home universities.The course starts only in October, and succeful applicants must fulfill the following qualifications.Qualifications for admittance into the course:

1.The students must have completed the major of Japanese language and culture for at least two years at their home universities by the time of arrival.2.The students must have paed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 2.3.The students must resume their study of major in Japanese language and culture at their home universities upon their return from Japan.This means those students in their final year expecting to graduate while in Japan are not qualified for this program and scholarships.4.A letter of recommendation from the applicants' supervisor must be accompanied with the students' application form for this course.The recommendation letter must specify about the major of the applicant and the level of his/her Japanese proficiency, if a copy of the result of the Japanese Proficiency Language Test is not attached.4.JAPANESE LANGUAGE AND STUDIES COUESES FOR UNDERGRADUATES(University-wide Core Curriculum)本科日语语言和研究课（高校核心课程）

The following are advanced Japanese language and Japanese studies courses for(degree-seeking)international students studying in a particular faculty or school.Students will receive advanced level training with the following aims: to acquire an understanding of university level Japanese and basic technical publications;to become familiar with various styles of speech and writing;to be able to write academic eays in Japanese.The program also offers lectures on Japanese affairs, to give students a deeper understanding of Japanese society and culture.Students will be accredited for these courses as they are included in the university-wide core curriculum(Foundation Program).Each subject consists of 15 90-minute claes spread acro one semester, for which students will be awarded 2 credits.This program is also open to non-credit-seeking students from our exchange universities with sufficient Japanese language skills(Japanese Language Proficiency Level 1).
