The evaluation of Dead Poets Society In total, I love this story, both characters and theme attracts me.Also ,the plot impre me deeply in my heart.At the beginning of the movie , captain Keating told his students “Carpe diem ,seize the day ,make your lives extraordinary.” in a different way by taking them out of the claroom ,then he adapted series of special methods to make students expre themselves ,for instant ,guided boys walk in their own way ,let them stand on the desk to getting various points from different view ,encouraged Todd to read out poet from heart and so on.All these behaviors are so popular、interesting to the students ,but counter against the traditional education in sophistical school which prepared for Ivy ,the other teachers and parents who wanted their sons to be the top but regardle of their interests.A little comparing Keating and the others ,there is no doubt that Keating is succeful in making boys brave enough to pursue what they want to do and who they want to be.Against, others failed, Niel’s dead has proved that.Although he didn’t struggle against his father, he chose to suicide at last in order to prove that it’s meaningle for his body to exist if his soul has gone.After Neil died, Todd cried uncontrolled in the ice.who are responsible for the boys on earth, the captain Keating just as the school manager claimed finally? No, maybe we have to think about the traditional institution for education which have become captivity ,the pre from parents also restrict the further developing of students.Even it may be caused by social unreligious conception routed in people’s mind.
