一、竞赛项目指导思想
适应国家大力发展职业教育需要，按照高等职业教育人才培养目标要求，促进高等职业教育英语课程教学改革，培养和提高高职学生英语应用能力，展现高职学生英语口语表达能力与风采，激发广大高职学生学习英语的积极性。
二、竞赛项目名称
江西省2011年大学生科技创新与职业技能竞赛英语听说能力竞赛
三、竞赛目的英语教学服务于专业教学改革，服务于日益国际化、全球化的经济社会发展。职场需要具有较强英语应用能力，尤其是口语表达能力的专门人才。通过竞赛提高高职学生英语交际能力，并为高职英语领域的专家、教师和管理者搭建一个探索英语教学改革、交流英语教学经验的平台。
四、竞赛内容与规则
1.竞赛内容
竞赛内容包括两个部分，第一部分为已备演讲：从以下两个题目当中任选一题，写一篇500字左右的演讲稿，演讲内容根据以下题目自行拟定，充分发挥，演讲时间为3分钟。演讲题目如下：

第二部分为情景问答：问题为常识性、时事性知识或观点，选手现场抽抽取三道问题，由主持人念题。问答时间共为1分钟。（情景问答题待定）
2.竞赛规则
评委对参赛者两个比赛环节（主题演讲和情景问答）的表现分别计分。分数计算方法：去掉一个最高分，去掉一个最低分，取其他分数的平均分。平均分计至小数点后2位。

本赛项由江西现代职业技术学院承办。
六、评分标准的制订原则、评分细则
1.评分标准制订原则：公平、公开、公正；客观反映选手的英语口语实用能力。
2.评分细则：
八、奖项设置
按该项目参赛学生总数的5%、8%、10%的比例，从高分到低分依次取一、二、三等奖。
