As the saying goes“A great glory is bestowed to a general at cost of the death of thousands of civilians and soldiers.” As for Achilles, if he had chosen to keep himself away from the war of no righteousne, he would not have died.But the desire of loots and glory overwhelmed his reason, he played a role of invader which is not favored by the Trojan people.On the other hand, Hector, the victim of Achilles, was a gentleman who was trying best to guard his country and his people.In my point of view, Hector was a considerate brother , a good husband to his wife, an affectionate father to his children, and maybe most importantly, a wise and brave general to his soldiers and a guard of his civilians.In our modern eyes, Achilles is no more than a cold warrior with no devotion to his king and a rude man to his rivals.For instance, in order to revenge on Agamemnon and show his decisive power, he ask his mother to beg Zeus to give victory to the Trajan during his absence.In contrast with Achilles, Hector couldn’t act like his selfish rival because of the heavy burden he had to shoulder, he had listen to the councils and his king father whose ideas lead to the destroy of the magnificent country.To my sorrow, he died as hero in the duel with Achilles.After all, both Achilles and Hector are regarded as the greatest warriors of that time.From the bottom of my own heart, I admire both of them.The mortal man who had toiled nine years to keep his people safe was the sage of his time, and the immortal one who fight in the end to find and protect his love, is truly respectable.They two will be remembered forever.2010电子信息工程 吕磊周二34节 第二组
