贵阳一中三地教学教研会议观后感

Sponsored by Guiyang No.1 High School in October 2013, the Teaching Research Conference on heterogeneous forms for the same leon presented 3 claes lectured by 3 teachers from Shanghai, Guiyang and Weining County.What all teachers present had resonance for was the gaps resulted from regional difference on English teching phylosophy.Regional difference will, to a large extent, determine teachers’ philosophy on English teaching.The economic level of certain area has impact on the needs for English,which then determines how much importance certain community attaches to English learning.It finally affects what way of teaching teachers will choose to teach and what perspective and philosophy they hold on English teaching.This was easily found out through the claes given by the three teachers, Mi Liu Yu from Weining, a relatively le developed area, Mi Gao Jie from Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou, and Mi Shi Hairong from Shanghai, which is obviously, from the angle of either economy, community culture, or international prestige, a far more developed city than the former two.Through the cla, Mi Shi focused more on students’ language internalizing.Reading is taken as a hard nut to crack for too many English teachers.There are various teaching ideas on how to teach comrehension, vocabulary and grammar in a paage, most of which are proved to show singularity in form, which can concerns only one language content or skill in the 45-minute cal.Mi Shi, however, who termed her way of teaching as “conversational cla”, perfectly integrated the three key aspects of teaching reading in one cla.Part of the reason of her achievement during that 45 minutes and her teaching phylosophy can be rooted to the facts that students in Shanghai see English differently from and show higher English ability than those of Guizhou, which in return pushes the teacher to a higher expectation on students as well as much higher English ability of himself.
