Introduction

Shakespeare as England's most outstanding Renaiance artist, was hailed as “the greatest dramatic genius” by Marx.We have been in contact with the works of Shakespeare from the junior high school , and you can say that it is almost a tragic world. The story Romeo and Julie has been seducing tears for hundreds of years, and the sadne of Hamlet, a happy yet hesitating prince, moves a big group of people. However, Shakespeare’s comedies are also worth of frequent reading.Normally, links of London Would be the Best Wearing for Dinner

Shakespeare's famous play the Merchant of Venice focused on the everlasting topic-money.The Trendiest for Sale, Find the One for You!Was money the most valuable thing? Was there any more precious thing than money? The touching kingship story, the praises of love and pay, the conversations of wisdom, the changeable dramas and exaggerate and hilarious plots, all of which were full of legend and romantic color.Intertwined with friendship, love, and family’s love of the world, leading us to understand what is the most important value of our life, what is the ideal worth to pursuit with all our life.Witty language implies a profound philosophy of life!

In spite of Shylock that got the end of nothing for his over-greedy,Portia’s father customized three cases in gold, silver and lead separately for his dear daughter’s marriage, which placed death’s head, a picture of simpleton and a picture of Portia. There carved: [who chose me, he’ll get the thing all people wanted.“ outside the gold cartridge. The inside scroll wrote: ”what’s shining are not all gold, the ancients` words are not deceptive;so much people spend their whole life only saw my profile, maggots occupied a gilded tomb.If you are both brave and brilliant, have strong body as well as quite experienced, you will not get the answering voice: goodbye, I suggest you give up.“ On the silver box were the words: ”Who chooses me shall get as much as he deserves.“ And the paper in it read: [The fire seven times tried this;/ seven times tried that judgment is/ that did never choose ami. Some people spent their whole life to pursuit the phantom and seek satisfaction from the phantoms.I know that there are some foolish people who just own a sliver-plated appearance;no matter what wife you marry you can’t cast off the skin of a fool;go, sir and don’t waste time!” Outside the lead cartridges in scripted: “He who chooses me must to sacrifice all his things.” In the paper is: Your choice is not dependent on the appearance. You choose correctly!Victory is already in your arms, don’t look for elsewhere. If you are satisfied with the result, please accept your luck, turn around your body and give your love a deep ki.“ When we read here, we can't help admiring Portia's father's wisdom.Actually, the boxes not

only reflected a person's thinking towards money, they also reflect his thinking of everything. The gold, silver and lead are only for metaphor. The inside papers themselves were very good explanation. My opinion

In my opinion the play The Merchant of Venice is a tragic one which is sorted as being comic by critics. Many factors of this play are derived from the current voice of situation. The Merchant of Venice could be looked at as more tragic because of the negative intents from some of the characters in the play.If The Merchant of Venice was to be looked at as more comic, the scenarios wouldn't be taken as seriously as they should be.Infact I believe that The Merchant of Venice written by William Shakespeare was officially intended to be so in both comic and tragic. In deep looking and observing The Merchant of Venice I have seen a small equivalency in the amount of comedy and tragedy in the play.Throughout The Merchant of Venice there are many strong feelings displayed through powerful lines of contemporary nature, to be truthful.William Shakespeare most likely wrote this play The Merchant of Venice to display how human greed could be so consuming to the soul of a person, which he did very well if I may say so.The English dramatist and poet William Shakespeare was the

author of the most widely admired and influential body of literature by any individual in the history of Western civilization. His work consists of 36 plays, 154 sonnets, and 2 narrative poems.Knowledge of Shakespeare is derived from two sources: his works and those remains of legal and church records and contemporary allusions through which scholars can trace the external facts of his life.Shakespeare wrote his plays for performance, not publication, and apparently took no part in their printing.Nineteen plays appeared in individual quarto volumes before appearing in the First Folio. Some were printed from texts reconstructed from memory by the actors, whereas others were supplied to the printer by the company.Shakespeare's indifference to publication creates problems in dating and establishing accurate texts for the plays.Through to the end of The Merchant of Venice, a final decision can be extracted fully to weather the play is more comic than tragic or vice versa.William Shakespeare is one whose works will never be forgotten and will be taught to many generation to come in the later years. Conclusion

The period that Shakespeare created the Merchant of Venice was the reign of Elizabeth I.What was the name of that period called “the First flowering Period of English literature”and the greatest change began with

drama.Shakespeare was the representative at that time.In his romantic comedies, Shakespeare takes an optimistic attitude toward love and youth. The Merchant of Venice in which he has created tension, ambiguity, a self-consciousne and self-delighting artifice that, is at once intellectually exciting and emotionally engaing. In a word, the Merchant of Venice is a comedy play.No matter how sophisticate the charter expreed.I think the fundamental of Shakespeare is to punish the evil and praise the good. The main melody of this play is still very light and joyful.Bibliography
