My name is Xin Yonghuan.Firstly, I would like to expre my sincere gratitude to my supervisor Mr.Li Jianwu, for his intellectual guidance, invaluable instructions and comments on my thesis that I can finally accomplished this thesis.My topic is A Comparative Study of Chinese-Western Views of Love in Under the Hawthorn Tree and Titanic

I choose this as my topic due to the following reasons.Firstly, With China’s reform and opening to the outside world, cultural communication among nations becomes more and more frequent.Love is an important part in cultural communication.Different cultures have different values on love, so to know the diversity of love is becoming more and more important.Secondly, I hope by studying this topic we can know the the differences of love concept between China and the west in cultural communication and, we can get the better vision about each other.Next, it is an outline of my paper.The whole thesis is mainly made up of five parts.The first part is Literature Review which will give a brief introduction of Chinese-Western views on love.And the second part is going to analyze The Definition of Love and the Study of Love Type Theory.In the third part, The Main Contents of the Two Movies will be discued andthe fourth part is to talk about The Differences between Chinese and Western Views of Love in Movies.At last the paper will summary the whole contents and further explains the reasons for the differences of the Chinese and Western concepts of love.OK!That is all.Thank you!Please ask questions.
