My thought about Walden

Recently, I have read Walden written by Henry David Thoreau, and now I want to expre some ideas of mine.The book describe the two years and two months life the author spent in a crude cabin besides the Lake Walden.He set up the wood house, cultivated the lands, read books and wrote books, lived a plain even primitive life.All that accompanied him were different kinds of animals and the beautiful nature.Loneline brought him unique peace, which helped him become smarter, and endowed him an ability to watch the society and the world from a distinctive view.The author's moving into such a isolated place was some kind of weird actions, especially in that age when almost everyone was trying to succeeded in busine.But we can see that the author gained his self-fulfillment.Walden emphasizes the importance of self-reliance, solitude, contemplation, and closene to nature in transcending the cra existence of the most humans.The philosophy problems discued in the book are also deserved thinking about.The theme and intention of the book have practical meaning, still.In my opinion, our Chinese society is to some extent like the

society 100 years ago in Europe and America.The market economy not only brings incredible increase in material life, but the challenge of moral, and the greed character of human.All kinds of negative news are reported frequently, the security problem of food, the filthy relationship between some government and enterprises, the wrathful behaviour that some of the rich do to the poor.Our society has been distorted by profits, but what can I do, I am just nobody.I rather want a place like the Walden to calm me down, to contemplate, to realize my self-fulfillment.However, I have my own concerns, I can't do that.What I shall do is to do not lose my heart in the proce of pursuing my dreams, after words, Life is what I make it.
