On April 4th, 1968, he was aainated.In 1986, American government made the third Monday in January to be the day to memorialize him, called Martin Luther King’s Day, one of three official holidays to remember a great person.Martin Luther King was born in Atlanta in January 1st, 1929.Both his grandfather and father were preachers.His family came from Africa hundreds of years ago.He was black.After finishing his study in Morehouse College, he went on studying theology in Grozer Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania and Boston University.There he learned more about Mahatma Gandhi and was influenced by his thoughts.In 1953, he married with Coretta Scott.They had four children.In 1955, he was awarded the Doctor Degree of Theology.In 1950, civil rights movement was beginning to spread throughout the whole America.The Pioneer was in Montgomery where Martin Luther King was a preacher of Dexter Avenue Baptist Church.In Dec 5th, 1955 Rosa Parks refused to give her seat to a white man on a bus.Soon this event led to the bus boycott movement in Montgomery which black people refused to take buses for more than a year.After the movement race divergence policy on bus was abandoned.As Martin Luther King was one of the organizers, soon he was famous for fighting against discrimination and for civil rights of black people.The following years he traveled in India and

developed the nonviolence policy of Gandhi.In 1963, Martin Luther King and other directors organized demonstration in Birmingham where white police objected to race integration firmly.During

demonstrating, non-armed demonstrators and armed polices’ violent action was put on the newspaper not only America but over the whole world.This iue let

President Kennedy response officially to decrease the limitation of black people’s civil rights.This iue also contributed to urge the Congre to pa ‘Civil Rights Act of 1964’ which race discrimination and divergence are illegal.In August 28th, 1963 Martin Luther King gave his most famous speech ‘I Have a Dream’ in front of Lincoln Memorial.That day more than 250 000 people engaged in the movement of ‘March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom’ and listened to the speech ‘I Have a Dream’ In 1964, Martin Luther King was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his great contribution to the civil rights movements.Martin Luther King had received large amounts of threatens, but he was never frightened until he was aainated when he was just 39 years old.In 1987, the United Union made Martin Luther King’s birthday to be the Memorial Day.Not only Americans but also the people in the earth could remember him.
