Liwa fan was born in a martial family.Her father was the most predominant general in Xiliang.General Fan tought Liwa magic Kongfu since her childhood.Because Liwa was very clever, she did not only play Kongfu very well, but also poe much knowledge about strategy and tactics of war.Nonethele, Liwa didn‟t like war because of the brutality she witneed.She cherished a hope that people of the two countries could live under the same sky without prejudice peacefully and gaily.One night after a cruel battle that led to 3000 corpses, Liwa couldn‟t fall asleep.Once she recalled the scene of the battlefield, she felt aghast.Suddenly, God emerged in her bedroom and said “ Dear Liwa, don‟t be sad.I can give you a method to prevent the war.” Liwa got up with great surprise and prayed “Dear God!Please help the innocent people.I‟d like to contribute all to it.” God laughed and responded, “ as long as you marry a Tang boy named Xue Dingshan, the war would be prevented.” Liwa was so confused.She asked “ why? I don‟t understand.” God left with explanation “ It‟s arranged by the paradise.You‟ll know why after your succe.” In fact, it was a dream.On the next day morning, Liwa told the dream to his father.“No, you can‟t go to Yumen.It‟s dangerous.” General Fan growled.“ Tang is a super power, but Xiliang is a little regime.If the war will last several decades, I cannot imagine the result.It‟s bad that Xiliang would be subdued completely one day, it‟ worse that more innocent people would loose their lives.Oppositely, if I can procure the peace, it‟s a bli for our people and country.” Liwa explained.General Fan was moved and said, “ You‟re right, but how can you aure me peace could depend on yourself only?” Liwa answered firmly “ I believe in God!Dad!Please trust me.For the people and Xiliang, I‟d like to face danger.” General Fan didn‟t hamper her any more.Consequently, Liwa left Xiliang for Tang to pursuit her ideal.Liwa arrived in Yumen city with Tang‟s garments.Yumen city was a garrison that intersected Tang and Xiliang.As she paed by a decorated restaurant, a tincture of savory smell attracted her, so she entered the hall.She looked around and found that the hall was full of people in different claes.Some aristocrats shared sovereign rooms;most common people huddled together around tables and talked loudly.Liwa came to the crowd and said with high voice “Excuse me!This is the first time I came to Yumen.Would you mind that I would pay the bill? I just want to make friends with everyone here.” A cripple responded “Certainly!Our Yumen people are very hospitable.” “What are you talking about? Could I join you?” Liwa smiled and continued.The cripple answered “o!My tow sons were killed by Xiliang troops yesterday.We‟re planning to revenge for them.” “The Xiliang people are barbarians without humane quality.We swear to kill all Xiliang citizens,” Another middle-aged man intervened with irritation.Liwa was astonished by their fury.She contradicted, “I‟m sorry to hear the tragedy.Please be quiet.All the miseries should ascribe to the cruel war rather than Xiliang.” Liwa‟s words couldn‟t eradicate their grudge, so a man shouted to her “How can you stand by the side of Xiliang? As soon as they got out of the restaurant, Liwa rushed on the bosom of the man.She was
quite inconsolable.The man said, “You‟d better go back at once.I‟m Xue Dingshan.” “It‟s him.It‟s him.” Liwa cleaned her eyes with tear and murmured with excitement.She told him the whole story directly.Dingshan was astounded.However, he refused her “No!You‟re from Xiliang.I can‟t marry you.” He left without more word.Liwa realized that the ingrained bias of the two nations was fixed.Considering the enormous mischief to the Tang led by the war, Liwa donated much money to the people, whose kindred died in the war, for restoring their houses and surviving;she apologized to them on the behalf of Xiliang initially.Because of her endeavor, most common people perceived that there were kind persons in Xiliang like Liwa.Several days later, there were some brigands from Hui regime committing larceny in Yumen.General Xue was required to capture them in 2 days.At the last night, Liwa went to Dingshan‟s home to help him by her magic Kongfu.But the janitor said “Mr.Xue has set off to the mountain.” Liwa rushed towards his direction with magic immediately.When she got to the mountain, she saw Dingshan besieged by 3 brigands and he could not defeat them conspicuously.Liwa jumped on the top first and allured two of the brigands to follow her.Then she took out her bayonet and played a magic of them loosing their daggers.With several bouts, she captured them easily.Simultaneously, Dingshan was forced to the edge of the cliff.Liwa croed 100 meters with a leap and slashed down to the brigand, but he shunned aside quickly.Liwa seized Dingshan firmly avoiding to slump down.The moment that she didn‟t take heed to the brigand, he slashed down on the left arm of Liwa.Liwa screeched with agony and quickly inserted her bayonet into the abdomen of the brigand with remaining energy.Dingshan embraced her and shouted “Liwa, are you ok? Hold on!” Liwa smiled with low voice “I‟m ok, don‟t worry.” Dingshan was very moved and fell in love with her.Therefore, the feat of Liwa was spread over the Tang.She became the hero of Yumen city.People‟s attitude to Xiliang changed too.Because of the great feat, Liwa was invited to the palace to meet the emperor of Tang.The emperor said, “Liwa, as a Xiliang people, should have been our enemy, but you contributed a lot to my country.What kind of reward do you want?” Liwa answered courageously “Respected emperor, please sign a pact with Xiliang to stop the war.” The emperor laughed loudly and said, “Great reward.Ok, I can give you a chance.Please raise two reasons to hold your idea firmly.” Liwa cleaned her voice and stated, “First, the war has deprived millions of lives and destroyed numerous families.It‟s the origin of crime.Tang is called „the land of courtesy‟, I believe all Tang people include respected emperor don‟t like war originally.Second, the continuing conflict led to the accumulation of resentment of our two nations.Should we pa the resentment to our descendants continuously? Therefore, peace can‟t merely prevent slaying and confer to the will of people, but also thaw the fixed grudge.Let‟s wash away historical spots and share the splendid sunshine together.” The short speech with powerful emotion moved everyone present.The emperor commended her “what a exciting speech!I think I can‟t refuse your suggestion.You deserve of the reward to attain your ideal.” Liwa was very delighted and said, “Thank you, respected emperor.Your spirit of peace can be immortal.” The emperor smiled “I agree to your marriage with Dingshan to show the friendship of our two countries.” Dingshan took a stride and said, “thank you, respected emperor.I realize this is what the God referred to in Liwa‟s dream.I love her.” Liwa chuckled without word.The persistence of Liwa invoked the people‟s desire of peace;the cro-border love warmed the cold battlefield.Love took the place of resentment, and friendly intercourse took the place of
mutual aault.
