My cherished memory of Nanjing

According to our school prior tradition, we went to Nanjing last week to have landscape and culture claes.The five-day tour left me a very deep impreion.Nanjing is a beautiful city.Its scenery is fantastic and attractive.When we

reached the top of Zijin Mountain and overlooked the whole city, I felt enjoyable and touched.Nanjing is also a very modern city with huge buildings, great numbers of cars and bustling crowd as many other cities in China.However, as a famous cultural and historical city, especially as the capital city of the ancient six dynasties, Nanjing has its difference.The history of Nanjing is unique.Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, Holocaust Memorial Hall, the Presidential Palace, Yuhuatai Martyr Memorial Park and many other places make up of the witnees of Nanjing’s history.The most unforgettable and magnificent one among them I think is Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum.We climbed the stairs, which consists of 392 steps, and reached the top.There is a script of Sun—“the world belongs to all” above the door of the mourning hall.Then we got into the hall from the side door and saw a statue of Sun.He is very serious and solemn, and I watched him with reverence for a long time.I thought a lot after getting out of the mourning hall.Sun troubled by the

conservative Qing Dynasty's inability to keep China from perpetual humiliations from those advanced countries.He struggled with his colleagues and finally succeeded in establishing Republic of China.Three Principles of the People(nationalism,democracy, and people's livelihood), which was proposed by him, is progreive and inspiring.Although he died without having had the opportunity to put his doctrine into practice, he was, is and will be the father of modern China.Qinhuai River is flowing gently, and has paed around the city thousands of years.The history of the city, the courage of the people here, deeply infected me.The trip to Nanjing is my wealth.I will treasure it through my life.
