The Murmuring of Comfort Women

In World War II, Japanese government and soldiers brought a lot of pains and sorrows to Asian.They killed thousands of people.In Nanjing, China, they killed more than 300,000 innocent Chinese people.After the cruel war, most of us only focus on the people they killed, but we ignore some poor women who had suffered shame and pains of their body.They are comfort women.They are the Japanese military sexual slaveries.When they are in their teens and twenties, they had to serve Japanese soldiers.Most of them had an operation to remove their wombs and they couldn’t have their own children for the whole life.The Japanese military sexual slavery survivors live a hard life.Many of them have no families.They live alone and have no enough money to support themselves.Some of them live together.What they can do is waiting.Wait for the response of Japanese government.In Korea, no one knows the history of comfort women until the first self-identified Korean survivor Kim Hak Soon spoke about her experience.So do China.No one wants to refer to that shameful period of history.We should respect the survivors who had courage to stand out to speak for their rights.Because of them, we know the true cruel history in World War II.When I see the film Murmuring, I was shocked.How could the comfort women suffer such pains at that time? Many of them were teenagers.They lived a hard life even didn’t have enough food to eat.What worse, many of them couldn’t return back to their hometown.I remember there are some Korean survivors who live in China.After the war, they wanted to return home, but no one could help them.They can only

stay far away from home and mi their hometown ever day.They make money by themselves.Japanese soldiers and the war hurt them, but they didn’t want to confe to what they did.Because there are few survivors are being alive, their voice is like murmuring.Few people care about them and help them.Many comfort women died during the war.Some of them died of disease, and some of them died from tortures.At that time, no one care for them.Japanese soldiers didn’t treat them as human beings.In nowadays, a lot of people show sympathy to them, but few people want to help them.When I saw they demonstrated outside the Japanese embay, I felt sad.In my opinion, not only the Japanese government should be responsible to the survivors, but also their own countries’ governments should do something useful to them.Now they need money to support them, but Japanese government doesn’t want to give them money.They even don’t want to confe what they did to the comfort women.People around them should give them a hand to help them through the hard times.Let them feel warm and kind from around.We had better let more people know the history about comfort women.If more people know this, community preure will be increased.It can make Japanese give the survivors’ responses as soon as poible.I hope the survivors in China can stand out to and try to speak about their experience as the survivors in Korean.There are also many victims in China.They shouldn’t keep silence.Silence can only make people know nothing about comfort women.
