Body Donation And Traditional Ideas : An Implacable Contradiction
Death is the ending of body movement and metabolism.In traditional opinion in China, death is serious and dead bodies are sacred.We should respect the dead and give him a peace atmosphere.So it is known to s all in China that dead bodies should be buried into the ground.Nowadays, a new way to deal with the remains comes into our sight.It is body donation.But there are few body donations in China every year.In summary, two reasons contribute to this phenomenon.Firstly, people have a lot of psychological burdens.Many people themselves are not willing to donate their body after their death.They want their body to be complete and don’t stand body division.Their relatives would also not like to let their relatives’ remains be separated.Secondly, Traditional opinions are ineradicable in people’s mind.The later generations think that donating their parents’ body means betray.This behavior is not filial.As far as I am concerned, I think body donation is a challenge to traditional concept especially in China where the traditional view is deep-rooted.But I also support body donation.A pair of corneas may recover at least two blinders’ sight.A severely burned patient may need 1,000 to 2,000 centimeters square skin to transplant.If a dead body is
