The concept of slum in relation to urbanization is an important one.Well,the word slum sounds a little exaggerated.Here,it refers to village in the city where old houses gather together forming a distinct vision different from its surroundings.With the development of city’s economy,urban village can no more keep pace with the time,even worse ,urban village hamper the progre of city’s further developing on the ground that it takes up space and resource.Last but not least,it has a bad effect on city’s image.Hence,some people point out that the government should pull down the old buildings for city’s future construction plan.While,the opposite argue that the urban village should be protected as a historical witne of the city’s transition.Meanwhile,it has already owned a set of fundamental facilities which brings benefits to people’s lives.The most important is , people living in the urban village have had their own personal relations and developed the deep sensation for it.Once the old buildings pulled down,they would become a homele mentally.As far as I am concerned,I am in favor of pulling down the old houses.Compared with the city’s development,restarting one’s new life seems much more easier.In this situation,we should subordinate our benefits to the general goal of the group.The better the city develops,thebetter the life we have!
