Hi everyone, I’m gonna talk about the method of English learning, which is quite important for our life today.As far as I concern, we learn English, basically for two purposes, getting through the tests and communicating with others.We have been taught some useful methods in order to pa the English tests, over and over again, like, doing readings as much as we can, trying to memorise good phrases and sentences, of course, and some techniques and skills for exams.Yes, they are good.But do they really work or are they the best methods, if we regard English as a communication tool? I have been abroad several times.I think even though we have learned English for several years, it is still a big problem, especially in listening and speaking.Our ability of reading and writing is okay, but it’s not poible to write all the time in daily life.So I think if we do wanna English serves us better, we have to rethink the way we learn English.I think we have get rid of our textbooks and learn English from life.There is no English-speaking environment here in China, however, English movies are available.There is no doubt it can improve our listening, and we can find the English in real life is another story from the one we hear in exams.Moreover, imitating the accent and pronunciation is a great way to help us to get rid of Chinglish.I also learn some stuff from my experience that I couldn’t learn on cla.For example, I can still remember that when I wanna order in a restaurant, I say “I want something”, but English native speakers would say “Could I get something please”.Similar examples are countle.Learning English from life is probably not useful for our English exams, but it teaches us speaking proper English.I believe we can always find a betterand more effective way of learning English in our life.
