This novel tells a story about a girl named Jane Eyre who is unlucky but strong.When Jane is very young, her parents die.And she is sent to his uncle’s home.Unluckily, her uncle also dies soon after and his aunt ill-treats her.What’s more, her cousin looks down upon her as well.So Jane goes through a miserable childhood.But little Jane doesn’t feel inferior.On the contrary, she becomes very independent and learn to stand on his feet.When she grows up, she leaves her aunt’s house and finds a job in a manor called Thornfield.She becomes a home tutor there.Her independent thinking of spirit attract the attention of Rochester, the master of the manor.Although Mr Rochester is much older than Jane.They fall in love with each other.However, Mr Rochester has had a wife before.As a result, their marriage breaks the law.Jane feels very sad and leaves Rochester.After that, she is taken in by St John.After living with her for some time, John falls in love with her and wants to marry her.But Jane refuses him.And Jane mies Rochester so much that she goes back to Thornfield.Surprisingly, a fire has ruined Rochester’s house.His wife has died and Mr Rochester becomes disabled and blind.When Jane sees that, she decides to stay there to care for Rochester.Then she and Mr Rochester lives together.From the Internet, I learned that some people think the novel is modelled after the story of the writer,Charlotte Bronte.Considering the

language style and that the story is so similar to the writer’s own.Maybe it is especially for girls.I feel that Bronte want to expre that women should fight against the traditional female rules.They should be brave and try to seek for freedom and their own love.Besides, the writer wants to tell them that if they are unlucky and feel inferior, be strong and proud.In other words, Jane Eyre is a book of love and freedom.
