A Report about the Students of DUFE Go Travelling Tourism is becoming more and more popular in our country, especially among university students.Now, university students always like to live a full and varied life, they prefer spending their holiday time travelling and they regard it as an instructive experience.It also can help our tourism industry developing better.Hence, I made a questionnaire with 12 questions about university students travelling to know the attitudes of students about travelling.I asked 8 boys and 12 girls randomly in our school.At the same time, I also did two interviews with my clamates to collect more information.Here is my analysis and results.In the questionnaire, as for expense, needs, some preparations before travelling and other things, I prepared 7 questions and got some data.As the result, 40% students travelled le than 3 times after being a university student.About 50% students travelled le than 6 times and more than 3 times.Only 10% students travelled more than 6 times.40% chose short holidays(e.g.May Day)to have a trip and 40% said they like travelling in long holidays(e.g.summer holiday).Just twenty percent person said they chose other time for travelling.A majority of them like travelling outside the province, at he same time, only 10% students said they often chose their tour destinations based on current tour routes.When asked the type they like to travel, more than half of them like independent travel and booked airline tickets and hotels before they go.20% person said they wanted to go wit friends and relatives together and 20% thought chose a tour group from travel agency is a good idea.Before travelling, forty percent person search travel information through the websites of tour agency.Only 10% students like fowling their friends’
introductions and half of them said they always chose other ways to collect information.60% students spend about 1000~2000 RMB on travelling every year and the expense of only 40% person is more than 2000 RMB every year.For the situation of logging during travelling, the attitude of 20% students is medium-to-high grade is OK, the situation just better than normal is enough.About 70% said they would choose middle priced places and they thought they need not to waste much money on it.Just 10% students prefer low-end, they said they should limit the expense as much as poible and the situation just need to satisfy the basic needs.In terms of the choices of favorite places and things, some influence factors and personal habits about travelling, I did 5 questions.When were asked their living conditions in weekends and holidays, 30% students said they were busy and had many homework or activities to finish.40% students just had some activities to attend occasionally.Only 30% students had much free time and they often have nothing to do in holidays.Before travelling, half of students cared for the sight spots and local flavors are the most important information of the destination.20% said they cared more information about shopping centers, the places of entertainment and delicious food.Another 20% students paid more attention to transportation and lodging.Only 10% thought routes and climates are more important.Among some factors which influence travelers’ travelling plan, one-fifth students said price is the most important factor.At the same time, 30% thought their holiday time is the biggest factor and one-half person the attraction of tour routes would affect their tour decision.60% students said university student travelling should be promoted, travelling enrich college life, expand our horizon and make more friends.40% thought its
ok, we can increase travel plans if we have enough time.According to personal preference, 10% students like travelling in a place of interest and ancient towns.50% chose natural scenic spots.One third person thought seaside and beaches are more attractive.Just 10% students like playing in theme parks and pleasure ground.Actually, we can separate trips into two kinds simply.They are short trip and long trip.Students always choose a short trip during short holidays.For example, they would go to Discovery land, Forest Zoo.Others maybe choose to travel in some cities which close to Dalian.They just spend more or le 700 RMB for enjoying this proce.During summer vacation, students have so much free time that they would choose some far locations as their travel destinations.For instance, they would go to the South or some countries near to China.Maybe a long trip would spend several thousands or more money, however, it can help them to know other kinds of culture, lifestyles and enrich their spiritual life.For that reason, I did two interviews about travelling of different path.They talked about their travel experiences with me.The first student talked her experience in May Day.She travelled to Qingdao with her roommates for three days.They spent 7 hours arrived there by ship.They joined a tourist party so that they could save much more time.There are so many activities during their trips;she just told me some of them.The most famous place is Trestle in Qing Dao.It is also the most beautiful spot in the seaside of Qing Dao.They climbed Lao Shan Mountain and enjoyed the beauty of nature.Then they went to Peng Lai and wanted to see mirage, because it is famous in Peng Lai.She said during the whole trip, they spent 1000 RMB for all expense and she thought university students should take more travelling during college life and broaden their horizons.If you want to save money, join a tourist
party is a good idea.Another student is a boy and he spent his last summer vacation to travel in Yun Nan.He said Yun Nan is a very beautiful and natural place.He took a airplane from Being Jing to Yun Nan by himself and he joined a tourist party in local area.They planed a 9 days travelling for him.These places include DALI, Shangri-La，Li Jiang, Ya Ding National Nature Reserve, Jade Dragon Mountain and so on.During his trip, he understood and experienced the life habits and customs of minority nationality.The natural scenery of Yun Nan is charming and the people are simple and honest, unspoiled.He said his favorite place in Yun Nan is Shangri-La.Because there is Snow-covered plateau, fresh air and pretty clean and blue sky, virgin forest and vast graland.His expense during the trip is about 4000RMB.He enjoyed a very different journey and he thought if we have enough time and money, we should take a trip in natural places and you would get different feelings and know more national culture.In conclusion, I found 40% students always have some activities to attend occasionally during weekends and holidays.Half of students have travelled more than 3 times during their college life.80% of them prefer choosing some short or long holidays instead of weekends for a trip.Almost all students like travelling outside the province.More than half thought independent travel is a good way to travel and they often book airline tickets and hotels before travelling.50% students said they would pay more attention to the sight spots and local flavors than other information.Fifty percent person though the attraction of tour routes would be the most important factor which affects their tour plans.All of them would spend more than 1000 RMB on travelling.Before travelling, they choose different ways to search travel information and more than half of person thought natural scenic spots are most worthwhile places
for travelling.70% students said they would choose middle priced places for logging and they thought they need not to waste much money on it.60% support university student travelling should be promoted, travelling enrich college life, expand our horizon and make more friends.According to my research and analysis these data, I think as university students we should increase our travelling chances and there are many benefits for us.We can choose more places outside province or abroad with friends and relatives.Before travelling, we can collect much more information from the internet and reliable travel agency so that we can get more attraction tour routes and enjoy a comfortable journey with le money.We can choose more natural spots to enjoy and relax ourselves after busy studying.We can take advantage of our holidays during these 4 years and make our college life more colorful.
