On Volunteering Activities
In today’s world, more and more individuals have joined their hands to be engaged in the volunteering activities, causing the volunteering career to flourish.And even some of them have dedicated their whole life to this career.Through the convenient media, it’s obvious to learn that the volunteer troops are expanding at an astounding rate every year.So why do more and more people choose to serve as volunteers? Why are the volunteering activities so fascinating to those volunteers? Among those volunteers, different individuals may have different purposes.But there are some common ground, upon which the volunteers agree.From my own experience, there are three main points.First, we human beings are a complete part in spite of the diverse nationalities, races and complexions, for human beings are social creatures.Once born, one is to be a part of the society for everyone absolutely needs helps from the others sometimes.Separated from all the others, nobody can survive.Just as a famous motto goes: United, we stand;divided, we fall.Second, helping others is a traditional virtue paed down from generation to generation.As a saying goes: It’s more bleed to give than to receive.And we will be pleased and satisfied to see those trouble-attacked people overcome their sufferings with our helps.Third, participating in the
volunteering activities can enrich the life, with which the participators will benefit more in the future, for volunteering activities involve many skills.For example, contacting numerous people frequently will improve the volunteers’ interpersonal skills largely.What, you may ask, are the social sense of the volunteers’ work? In view of the afore-said, personally, I think that there also exists three main points in the social sense.Firstly, the prevalence of the volunteering activities will certainly cultivate a welcome social atmosphere, and people’s spirit will be enhanced a lot.Secondly, governments will solve some tough problems, such as earthquakes, typhoons and other natural disasters more easily, for one’s strength is limited, but the maes’ strength unlimited.And we will be united by the form of volunteering activities.Thirdly, advancing the volunteering activities can eliminate the coldne, misunderstandings, and gulfs between people to some extent.To a college student, actively taking part in the volunteering activities is neceary.Two main reasons lie in here: Though as common citizens, it’s our obligation to shoulder some social responsibilities and we have to remember the motto of ‘The rise and fall of a nation is the concern of every citizen’;as job-hunters in the future, we should bear in mind that: The knowledge got from the
books is shallow at last, so the true understanding of things comes from the practice, that is to say, we should practise the theories in the real world, thereby testing the theories and gaining the useful experience.Therefore, we college students have to join the volunteer troops to realize our values.
