yGCSEEnglish.LastyearandthisyearIhavebeenimprovingmyself-learning,anddevelopingmanyskillswiththehelpofthekeyskillsqualificatioandA-levelGeneralStudies.Mysincerestdesireistobecomeacomputerscientist.ecifically,Iaminterestedinexploringhowproblemscanbemodeledandsolvedusingartificialintelligence.Ialsowanttolearnabouthumancognitionandmachineintelligence.Ihavebeenstudyingtheonlinedebateoverwhethermachineswilleverbecome“intelligent”giventhecurrentcourseofresearchandreadingaboutsuchiuesaswhetheramachinecanacquire“commonsee”(asdiscuedinHubertDreyfus'sbook“WhatComputersStillCan'tDo”).Ihavebeenexploringmanydifferentareaswithinthedomainofartificialintelligence(suchasneuralnetworks,geneticalgorithms,andnaturallanguageproceing).ThebottomlineisthatIwanttobeapartofthisexcitingfield.OverthesummerItraveledtoRuia,andthoroughlyenjoyedexploringaverydifferentpartoftheworld.Myotherinterestsincludecurrentaffairsandorts,suchasfootball,teisandgeneralfitne.EversincethestartofsixthformIhavebeenasuccefulmemberofthecollegefootballteam.Ihaveplayedbasketballasanenrichmentactivitybecauseitwasaneworttomeatthebegiingofsixthform.Ialsoparticipatedina5-a-sideindoorfootballtournamentatthecollege.InadditiontopursuingmyacademicstudiesIwouldliketocontinuesomeoftheseortsatuniversity.
