Living life in my 50’s

I was hoping Mr.Toastmaster would say “Our speaker today has reached the golden age and needs no introduction”.But apparently he thought I needed give all introduction by me self.At this point in my life, I am experiencing life in my 50’s.Am I old? How it must being young? I am free, and no responsibilities, and every single day is a new exciting day!But being in my 50’s has some perks. When people called me at 9:00pm and they asked “Did I wake you up?”  I have a party and the neighbors didn’t even realize it. Things I buy won’t wear out. I sing along with the elevator music. My joints are more accurate meteorologist than the national weather service.I am learning to realize that it would better watch what I eat.I have eliminated some foods/things from my diet and replaced them with others.Instead of red meat-beef and pork I eat fish, chicken and turkeyInstead of white sugar I take honey

Instead of white bread, I buy whole-grain breads.Living in today’s world, there are so many different changes that a 50 years’ old one is confronting with.The kids have all their testing cods, like BFF(best Friend Forever), LOL(Laughing out loud), WTF(What the F)I don’t say that word.Why there are not some cods for seniors, like

 ATD(At the Doctors), BYOT(Bring Your Own Teeth).My Friend and I took a ride on the motorcycle recently and the ride seemed so much different as before.The highway looked more dangerous, we were going to fast? The motorcycle’s speed was only 45 mph(miles per hour).I was sore when we arrived.Though everything looked to be a challenge, but I will remain positive in my 50’s.I will power up my savings, launch a second action and live in a place I love.*This is a Toastmaster speech at AACS club.
