Several years ago, my family and our neighbors went on a trip to the Slender West Lake in Yangzhou.While they drove the car, we had to take a coach since we had no car.And it turned out that we not only arrived 2 hours later, but also felt exhausted.At that time, my parents determined to buy a car.Nowadays, more and more families are equipped with cars.Cars are bringing convenience to our life.However, they are also doing damage to our environment and traffic.There is no denying that cars are emancipating us from the daily toil, especially when the weather is bad.I still remember that one day on my way to school, I caught a storm.In order not to be late, I had to ride my bicycle quickly.As a result, I was drenched and fell ill.However, while I was riding hard, several cars paed me.For those in their cars, all they had to do was to roll up their windows and open the windscreen wipers.They could sit in their cozy seats and get to the destination easily without the trouble of rain and wind.At this point, cars are definitely one of the greatest inventions.However, with the increasing number of cars, the natural balance of our mother nature is violated and even destroyed.Decades ago, our grandparents lived in a world with fresh air and clean water.But nowadays, the air is full of small particles.When walking on the street, you could see clearly the black smoke emitted from the back of cars.You may also feel anxious because the irritating blare and noise of the engines are driving you crazy.All the air and noise pollution are blemishing our beloved nature.Furthermore, cars are also leading the traffic into a chaos.Here is a good example in case.When I was in middle school, one day we waited our Chinese teacher for 30 minutes and finally he arrived breathlely.We felt confused and he explained that it was his car that drove him into this quagmire.Actually he used to ride his bicycle, but that day he wanted to enjoy the convenience of car.He came out of his home 10 minutes earlier since his car was parked in the garage which was 500 meters away.However, on his way to school, the traffic was busy and the road was congested.After struggling to school, he found all the places had been occupied and he had to drove around and finally found a rece.This is why he arrived so late.In fact, this case is by no means an exception.With exceive cars, roads seem to be narrower.Sometimes, 10-minute ride can mean 1-hour drive.Besides, the rate of accidents is rocketing.Every second, 7 accidents happen in China.Obviously, cars really have a negative influence on the traffic.In a nutshell, car is a double-edged sword.And with the increasing number of cars, the disadvantages gradually outweigh the advantages.Here, I propose that the use of cars should be reduced and we should develop a healthy lifestyle by walking or riding bicycles to achieve sustainable development.
