Good morning, ladies and gentleman.My name is____________.I’m glad to be here to make a speech.I’d like to tell you something about how to Learn English Well.If you want to learn English well,you must know why we have to learn English.Let me tell you,that is because English is an international language.It is the most widely spoken language in the world.Most busine letters,three quarters of the world’s books and newspapers are written in English.More than three quarters of the information on the Internet is English too!So it is quiet neceary and very important for us to learn English well.But how to learn English well?

First of all,we should remember the important world confidence.That is,no matter what we do,we should believe in ourselves,and once we have made up our minds to do something.we should try our best to do it well.What’s more,No matter what we may come acro,we should never give up.Instead we should keep on trying until we succed.Second,we’ll have to find out an effective way.Some people think that if we want to learn English well we must learn English grammar well first of all.Others believe we can't learn English well unle we keep in mind as many English words and phrases as poible.In my opinion，grammar rules，new words and phrases are very important，but they are not enough.Fox example，some of my clamates are quite good at grammar and have learned by heart a lot of English words and phrases，yet they can't expre themselves in English when they meet foreign friends.The best way to learn English well，I think，is to learn and use English all the time.Don't be afraid of being laughed at.We'd better do a lot of listening，speaking，reading and writing.If you can form the habit of thinking and writing in English all day，you are sure to grasp the spirit of English and will be able to read works in English within a short period of time.We should know what a language is for.In short,it’s for the exchange of ideas,for communication,so the purpose of our learning a language is to understand and to be understood.That is by developing listening,speaking,reading and writing skills simultaneously.Karl Marx has set a good example for us.He once said, “When one is learning a foreign language, he must use the foreign language.” In this way, he could use several languages.We’d better do more listening,speaking,reading and writing both in cla and out of cla.When we read English articles we not only get to know a lot of English words and expreions, but also get a sound sense of English language.Listening to the radio in English or watching English TV programs makes us get used to native English speakers’ pronunciation.Try chatting with your clamates in English every day, you’ll improve self-confidence.And if you keep a diary in English , you’ll get more chance of using the vocabulary and grammar.Remember:practice makes perfect.Don't be afraid of making mistakes.Only in this way can we learn it well.The third,we must keep on learning,as poible as every minute count.Diligence is the mother of succe.As long as we set our minds to learn English well, we can succeed.That’s all.Thank you!
