American Dream
Before the victory speech of Barack Obama,I have heard of many well—known politicians’ dreams such as Martin LutherKing’s speech of “I have a dream”,which was so inspring that it encouraged a large number of blacks to fight for their own legal rights.And after listening to his enthusiastic lecture I hurried to search of his life resume.Out of a bit of curiosity,I downloaded and learned something about his brief as follows,which added to my resolution in pursuing my dream.Hawaii,a beautiful sea city,witneed the birth of Obama ,who was a cro between the black(his father)and the white(his mother).However,owing to a lack of money,his father deserted his mother and him and went alone for further study in Harvard when Obama was two years old.To be the worse,only once did Obama see his father who later died in a car accident.As it was,Obama was cared for by his mother.Then a few years later his mother married to a manager of a company in Indonesia where he spent a four-year happy childhood.But this didn’t last long before mother separated from his stepfather when Obama was at the age of ten..So Obama as well as his mother came back to Hawaii,living with his grandparents.At that moment ,their family condition turned out to be rather hard---his mother had given birth to Maya,namely his sister and was to get the doctor degree of humanities and had to save up money for Obama’s study;his grandpa changed many jobs to make a living;his grandma was working in a bank.In sum,they’re under a very poor situation.Anyhow,to their delight,Obama showed great talent in studying and should be admitted to Hawaii punahou school,which was one of the the most famous schools with a history of more than a hundred years.Of course ,Obama had an unconditional support of all his family who were proud that he inherted the wisdom of his father and went along the road his father once did.As a result of his excellent performance,he was appointed to make a eential speech which attracted most people’s attention.In the speech he submitted the dream of removing the discrimination between parties and between races.In fact ,he had been making efforts and gaining knowledge and experience step by step,brick by
brick.Thus he became a celebrity in politics who was popular with the public in only two years’ time and even was compared with the former president Kennedy.And now he won the stiff competition and fulfill part of his dream.It seemed to me that his victory contained several neceary factors,for he lay a good foundation for his triumph at capturing people’s hearts.And this might be a complex question,maybe thanks to his solid supports including his relatives and friends or his competitors or many many others,but the key lied in himself.Anyway, he has been pursuing his American dream for a long time, whereas he was only 47 years old.What’s more, from his promise we can see he will stick to contributing himself to the country’s prosperity and lead Americans out of the worst financial crisis and save the planet in peril at the same time.As he said “Everything can be poible”, but this is not just in American but also all over the world.Anyone can be a president if he has the same American dream as Obama and make practice to realize the dream.As you see, in reality Obama was born ordinary with us and grew up with lots of hardships which is in common with us, but he persisted in changing the circumstance and made for a nice life, having not given up his dream from the start.As to us, we can have our American dreams,too.Everything is not difficult if you put your heart into it.The vivid example of Obama’s achieving his American dream tells us not to give up.Anyone has the right to gain succe and seeks for his
fortune,no matter you are young or old,rich or poor,Democrat or Republican,black or white or yellow,gay or straight,disabled or not disabled.“While we breathe,we
hope.And where we are met with cynicism and doubts and those who tell us that we can’t,we will respond with that timele creed that sums up the spirit of a people:Yes,we can.”
When nothing belongs to me,we are able to say I am bli,as we still in the poeion of health.When one day the health has gone away from us,those most bravest people can say with a smile that I am happy,since I still have a complete heart.Even if the days when there are hearts within us go,those excellent representatives can even shout loudly to the space that I am satisfied just because of
my having lived in the world.How intelligent these words are!I have always kept them in mind as they should give rise to our deep thoughts about the definition of life.Oh,my dear friends,let us learn from Obama and follow his head to stride forward the colourful future.Now that Obama’s victory has caused a stir on the earth,we have no reason to abandon our ideals at random And that is not to ask us to be great men like him.You can just be yourself and make yourself and achieve yourself.Believing in us ,being confident in our ability and saying “Yes,we can!”pave the road to gaining the succe.Last night I have dreamed a dream that our flowers filled with ideals have come out and we lie on the ground ,breathing freely ,enjoying the beautiful sunshine ,playing and laughing with each other etc.
