Answering the phone

 Targets:

Knowledge target: to review the expreions of numbers from 1-10

Ability target: to train the students’ abilities of memorizing, responsivene and answering the phone in English

Moral-penetrating target: to cultivate students’ feeling of loving life

 Time: 10-20 minutes

 Suitable for: children of more than 6 years old

 Rules:

Each student gets a number card.And they have two minutes to remember their numbers.When the teacher read a set of number the students should pay attention to their own numbers and listen to the teacher carefully.The two students who get the numbers are the same as the numbers the teacher read.They should answer the phone as quickly as poible and say your numbers and name by “Hello, this is … **.” The student who is quickly and say correctly can get two flowers.If he just answers the phone quickly but says the wrong numbers, he just gets only one flower.And another student can answer the phone, if he says correct will get one flower;otherwise he will get no flower. Procedures:

T: Good morning cla.Ss: Good morning Mi.Chen.T: How are you feeling today?

Ss: Good.Thank you.T: O.K.Do you still remember what have we learned in last cla?

Ss: Yes.T: Great.Let’s review them together.Ok?

Ss: Ok.One, two… ten.(The teacher point the number cards on the blackboard.And ask the students to pay attention to their intonation and help the students until the students can read all the numbers in the correct intonation.)T: Great.Now, I point the number and you say, ok?

Ss: Ok.T: Any volunteers?

Ss:(hands up)

(The teacher ask same students to read the numbers in any way)
