What Olympics mean to me
As we all know, the 29th Olympic Games will be held in Beijing.I believe that every Chinese are eagerly looking forward to its arrival, and trying their best to explore the life of details.So we can easily find the Olympics how to make sense by everyone’s actions.What Olympics mean to me? I think, as a Chinese, it’s not a question but a great plan which I should pay much attention to.To make contribution to the Olympics is not only my proud-ne, but also my responsibility.“Green Olympics” is one theme of Beijing Olympics.Therefore the government is protecting the environment, building “Green projects”, keeping the ecological balance, and advancing the economy.But if only the government take action, it's not enough.Every Chinese should participate in the activity.For me, as a senior high school student, though I am not able to delegate China to join the Olympics, I am able to devote myself to it.I used to have a habit that I take two longtime showers every day.And I’ve never had any question about that.Then one day, I read a piece of news in Shenzhen Daily which is about the lack of water in Shenzhen.From the news, I realized that Shenzhen is a beautiful city that we all should try our best to protect, and shouldn’t waste water and to destroy its harmony.Since then, I start to change my habit, and only take one quick shower each day.At present, in my family, we always think about protecting the environment whatever we do in our daily life.For example, the batteries, the out-dated newspapers, the bottles and the garbage, we claify them and put them in different trash cans;What’s more, we make the most use of the nature light and shut off the electrical light conveniently;and when we go shopping,1
we bring a nylon bag with us rather than plastic bags;during the festivals, I don’t send cards to my friends in order to protect the forest;after washing the clothes, we don’t waste the used water but to wash the toilet…
All in all, in my opinion, if everyone economizes one cubic meter of water during taking the shower in a month, the value of Green Olympic can be taken on.One world, one dream!The Beijing Olympic Games is not only a great physical feast but also a grand party in the world.So the “Green Olympic” should start from every little thing in our daily life, not only start form me, but also from the people that are around me.Finally, let’s dream of the succe of Beijing Olympic Games.Let’s wish our dear country all the best.Let’s make up our minds to build up a beautiful and powerful country.
