In the past two years of my college life I have been always asking it myself about what career I shall take up after graduation.My ideal career changed from time to time, but now, I'm eager to be a tour guide.As for me, the tour guide is a kind of profeion that shows a group of tourists around a town, museum, or the other interesting sights and guides them to have more knowledge of the place including its customs and culture.Why I want to be a tour guide? Firstly I have a paion for travel, and I usually go on a trip with my roommates every term.Last week we enjoyed ourselves when travelling to Shanghai, especially on the Oriental Pearl Tower.If I become a tour guide, I can travel all around China, and know more about our country.Then I will tell the foreign tourists about our colorful history.Besides, I will have opportunities to meet a various kind of people and make friends with them, so that our traditional history and splendid culture will be known by more people, and my oral English will be improved at the same time.Moreover, when travelling with them, it can broaden my mind and deepen my knowledge.Last but not least, personally I can enjoy the beautiful scenic spots for free, earn money and enrich my life.It’s hard to be a qualified tour guide, but it’s also challenging and exciting.Fortunately, there is a course of practical oral English for tourism.It is mainly about travel tips, differences between eastern and western culture, and gives a detail introduction of natural and cultural landscapes.Therefore I should work harder to grasp all the points.Furthermore, it’s significant to improve my ability of communication and organizing.If I can realize my dream, I believe my life quality will be uplifted.
