About college students’ travel situation
Recently, travelling is much more popular with college students than ever before.We do this survey in order to figure out what is the most important motivation that let them make up their minds to have a trip ；find out the factors that limited their travelling；observe where the college students want to visit, know what kinds of tourist attractions they like;learn with whom they’d like to travel together, and so on.From the survey, we can get a general view on college students’ travel situation.Proce:
1.We made a list of topics and then chose the topic we are interested in.At the beginning we chose a heated topic in our modern society, but later we considered it comprehensively.At last, we decided to do the topic about tourism which is closely related to our major.2.Find some questions on the topic, and choose 13 of them, like do you like traveling, the tourism purpose, the time to travel, communication tools, pals, the information resource of travel, the limited factors for students’ travel, the types of tourism attractions, the consumption level, the resource of the money, where they’ d like to spend their money.And then decided which universities to go and allot the number of girls or boys in different universities to do it.3.Go out and do the survey.First, we went to Xi’an Electronical and Technological University.We mainly asked boys to do the survey.Unfortunately, the first boy turned us down.As for the girls, they seemed to get used to rejecting.What’s more, you should never ask boys wearing earphones,’ cause they would not even say a word to you.After many times of rejecting, we finally finished 24 pieces of survey report.Then came the next stop, the Northwest University.It happened to be lunch time, so we distributed the papers among the students who were eating their lunch in their canteen.Some students cooperated well, while some were quite unhappy for we interrupted their lunch.Anyway, we managed to fulfill 13 pieces, 4 for boys and 9 for girls.The last stop, of course, was XISU.We mainly gave them out to the friends that traveled a lot.4.Analyze those survey questions, do statistics and come at findings.5.Make a conclusion about the survey.And communicate with each other and share our own benefits from it.As for the findings of the survey, we mainly focus on the similarities and differences between science students and liberal arts students.According to the survey, we come at 7 similarities.First, as for the tourist purpose, broadening minds come first, followed by releasing stre.Second, the tourist destination is inside nation.No one chooses abroad.Third, most students choose train to travel.Fourth, many prefer to go out travelling with 2 to 3 people.And the people are supposed to be their clamates.Fifth, as to the information source, generally, students trust their friends’
recommendations.And Internet is another important resource.Few of them believe what the travel agency says.Sixth, concerning the types of attractions, natural landscape is students’ favorite.They do not like historical sites that much.Seventh, the consumption level is majorly within 1000 RMB.And the money mainly comes from parents funding and living expenses.Many few of them use the money that they get from a part time job if they do have part time jobs.Compared with the high-frequency options, we observe some difference between the boys in science universities and the girls in liberal arts schools.First, the girls like tourism more than boys, because most of the girls choose the option “like”, but most of the boys choose the option “just so-so”.Second, although the major purpose of travelling is broadening their horizons, the more students in liberal arts schools choose the option “to release stre” than students in science schools.Third, compared the limited factors of the university student’s travelling, it reflects that the students in science schools are limited by the time, so most of them choose weekends to travel.However, students in art schools are mainly limited by money, but their time for having a trip is enough and they always choose summer holiday or winter holiday to visit some places.Forth, most of the boys in science schools tend to spend their money in entertaining themselves, but the girls in art schools would rather spend their money in tasting the delicious food.According to the survey, we conclude the following reflections.First, college students now are faced with heavier burden than before.The statistics show liberal arts students are more preured than science students.We think that is due to the higher unemployment rate of liberal arts students over science students.Second, the economic independence of college students is low and it also limits their consumption level.This is found from the way they pay for travelling.Most of them travel with the money from parents and parts of their living expenses.Third, travel agencies need to do more to get various customs and be a good guide for travelling.The figures tell us that college students don’t trust the advertisements of travelling.Instead, they prefer the places recommended by their friends because they believe that there are so many cheats in ads.In a word, although there are many limited factors in college students’ travel, it still is a potential tourism market to develop.
