HSCCSC English Singing Competition

—The Launch Ceremony of Amalgamating Chinese Culture and Western Culture

Under the instruction of the six pillars of concepts and abiding by the school motto “Wisdom, Virtue, Perseverance and Aspiration”, HSCCSC often creates showcases to display various culture in order to promote HSCCSC students’ overall cultural accomplishments and broaden their knowledge.HSCCSC conducted the launching ceremony of amalgamating Chinese culture and Western culture on October 26th, 2015.The culture integration activity includes five sections: English singing competition, cultural introduction of various counties, chanting Chinese claics, acting Western play and artistic performance.At first, Principal Yang gave an addre to the launch ceremony which also announced the start of the English songs competition.The students participating in the contest performed confidently under their teachers’ careful guidance.The atmosphere during the program was warm and high.Among the junior high school students, cla two grade six and cla two grade seven presented especially splendid performance and won much applause.When the senior high school students performed, they captivated all the audience and initiate the climax of the competition.Through this activity, the students not only practiced English or performance but also developed their friendship and teamwork.Annotation:the six pillars of concepts “IDEALS”, that is, international understanding and tolerance;democracy and justice;environmental awarene;adventure;leadership;and service to others.
