My dreams and desires Good morning boys and girls：

I am very glad to stand here and give you a short speech.Everyone has a dream.I often ask myself.As we all know a person’s life must constituted by various choices, then we grow up along with these choices.I think my first dream must have come from my uncle.My uncle received good college education.After he graduated he went to Japan for his further study.As a result,when I was a child I hoped I can go to a famous university to study.Of course,studying abroad has always been my dream.However,something bad happened when I was in middle school.During that time,my father almost lost his work,which caused me a great shock.At the same time, a government official entered my line of sight.He is well-known in our hometown.For a long time, I regarded him as my idol.I learnt a lot of things about him.When he was yong, he was interested in history and politics,which is right the same with me.I made up my mind to become a government official like him.I wanted to be powerful.I wanted not to be oppreed by anyone else any more.As I get older,I find politics is so complex that I may lose myself in it because of my honesty and childlike nature.To be a politician seems to be impoible for me ,a boy,an ordinary boy without any background.Now,I am studying in an university and I really do not know what is in store for me in the future.But I still often ask myself: Why are our ancestors always kings and queens and never the commen people ? Was the Old Country a heaven where every man was a king ? Or did the slave traders steal only rich and leave the poor workers streat cleaners garbage men dish washers cooks and maids behind? Of course not!Of course not!Today I want to say :There is a seed in everyone's heart.As long as we really keep watering it,it will grow and harvest.Follow our dreams,believe in ourselves and be prepared for anything in the future!That is all.Thank you for your listening.
