In my eyes, the most romantic traditional festival in China is the Qiqiao Festival, the Chinese Valentine’s Day on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month.The origin of it is a romantically sad story about lost love.One day the granddaughter of the Goodne of Heaven, Zhinv, the weaving girl, paid a visit to the earth secretly.After setting foot on the earth, Zhinv met Nulang, the herd boy, and they fell in love with each other at first sight.Longing to leave a simple but happy life with Nulang, Zhinv made up her mind to marry Nulang.After marriage, the young couple was so contented with their peaceful life that they planed to have a baby to fill their house with more color and laughter.However, something unexpected happened ruining their plan.Hearing the news that her beloved granddaughter was against the rules of Heaven and married to a human, the Goodne of Heaven became so angry that she ordered Zhinv to leave Nulang immediately and return to Heaven.At first, Zhinv refused to do so, but her grandma threatened to kill Nulang if she failed to obey the order.Zhinv had no choice but to say goodbye to her husband.Heart-broken, Nulang tried to follow Zhinv but was stopped by the Milky Way, by which the young couple was separated from each other.Back to Heaven, Zhinv tried in vain to ask for permiion to return to the earth.Feeling desperately helple, Zhinv refused to eat anything, which made her grandma extremely upset.In the end, the Godde of Heaven gave in, allowing Zhinv to meet Nulang once a year.Therefore, on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month, Zhinv was able to cro the Milky Way to meet her husband with the aid of magpies, which spread their wings to form a bridge over the river of stars.Every year at the Qiqiao Festival, Chinese people hope the weather will be fine, which means Zhinv and Nulang can meet each other happily.If it rains, magpies won’t fly out to help Zhinv, and Zhinv will weep sadly because she can’t meet Nulang who has been looking forward to meeting her all the time.Foreigners call Qiqiao Festival Chinese Valentine’s Day, for on that day lovers in China will celebrate the festival together in memory of the deep and pure love between Zhinv and Nulang.七夕节

我认为中国最浪漫的传统节日是七夕节，中国农历七日七月的情人节。它一个源于一个浪漫但又悲伤的中国传统爱情故事。

一天，天庭上的王母娘娘的外孙女织女私下凡尘。她刚踏足人间就遇到一个名叫牛郎的男孩，他们俩一见钟情。渴望与牛郎过上简单幸福的生活，织女决定与牛郎结婚。婚后，夫妻俩十分满足这种恬静的生活，于是准备生一个宝贝让这个家有更多的笑声与活力。

然而，意外发生毁了他们这个美好的计划。当王母娘娘知道她的外孙女违反天条嫁给一个凡人，她怒不可遏，命令织女立刻离开牛郎返回天庭。起初，织女拒绝这样做。但她的外婆拿牛郎的生命作为威胁，迫使织女服从命令。别无选择只好与丈夫作别。伤心欲决的牛郎试图追随织女而去，但却被银河挡住了去路。就这样夫妻俩被银河分隔开来。

回到天庭织女多次试图征求许可返回人间，但都以失败告终。伤心无助的织女只好绝食，这使得她的外祖母十分难受。最后王母娘娘作出让步，允许织女与牛郎一年见一次。所以在每年的农历七月初七，织女能够在喜鹊的帮助下跨过银河与丈夫相见。

每年，当七夕节到来，中国人希望天气是好的，这意味着织女与牛郎能幸福的见面。如果下雨，织女就会哭泣，因为喜鹊不能飞来帮助她去会她的心上人。

外国人称七夕节为中国情人节，因为在这一天，恋人们都会共度这个节日，纪念牛郎织女之间深厚纯洁的爱情。
