4:Explaination(句子解释)
1.有不少人英语学了很多年了,很长的句子都能看懂,然而在和地道的老外交流时却发
现自己还是张不开嘴。其中的一个原因就是我们忽视了很多口语里常常使用的短小精悍的句子。像这句话里'me'指的是“混乱、搞混”,比如你一进家门发现家里乱成一团,你就可以由衷的喊道,“What a me!”
2.'screw up'是个美语俚语,意思是“弄糟某事”,还可以说'screw something up',对于那种越帮越忙的人,就可以说,“He tried to help, but he just screwed everything up.”(他本想帮忙的,却把事情弄得一团糟。)
3.4.事情办砸了,总要有人就某个方面负责任。与别人据理力争时,就可以说这句强硬的话来分清责任。比如,“It was my fault not to notify you beforehand,but it is your fault for not doing what you promised to do.”(没有提前通知你是我的错,但不按你许诺过的话做就是你的错了。)
