I was born and grew up near the riverside.As a child, I was always staring at the meandering river out of my yard.I like this brimful azure green water.I like watching the sparkling wave blew by the breeze in the sunshine.In summer, I would jump into the clear water to feel the cool stream delighting my heart.Stretching my body in the onflow, sometimes downstream and sometimes upstream.Peeling off slow spiral shells, playing with agile fish, I was totally enjoying myself.This river has given me the most pleasing recollection and longing in my childhood.我生在河边，长在河边。小时候，一出院子，看不够的就是那条宛然曲折的渠道。我喜欢这盈盈的一渠碧水，喜欢看着阳光下微风拂过的粼粼波光。夏天赤脚跳进清澈的河水，亲身感受这份清凉，心情变得格外舒畅。在碧波湍流中舒展身姿，时而顺流直下，时而逆流而上，游乐之余剥落慵懒的螺蛳，捉弄敏捷的鱼虾，尽情享受这水带给我的欢快。这条河给了我童年最美好的回忆和憧憬。

Blink of an eye, I graduated from high school and was admitted to the Three Gorges University in Hubei province.With a thirst for knowledge and curiosity for water resources, I came to this newborn city springing up with water and electricity.In a sunny weekend, I visited the Three Gorges with my clamates.When I saw the magnificent.Three Gorges Dam, the broad and calm valley reservoir, the huge and neat generating units, I can't help making a sigh with feeling.Plane Lake in High Gorges, flood dragon

behind firm dam,how great the project is and how talented the people are.The Three Gorges Project is a perfection and example in utilizing water resources.It's pride and myth to all of us, to all water conservators in the present age.This is the first and memorable leon about water resources in my college.She made me realize the sublime and great, the responsibilities and hardships to be a water conservator.And this confirmed me the confidence and determination to be one of them.转眼高中毕业，我考入湖北三峡大学。带着求知的欲望和对水利的好奇，我来到这座水电新城。在一个晴朗的周末，我和同学参观游览了三峡。当看到这雄伟壮观的三峡大坝，广阔平静的峡谷水库，巨大整齐的发电机组，心底不由发出阵阵感叹。真是伟大的工程，伟大的人民。高峡出平湖，大坝锁蛟龙。三峡工程的兴建是人类对水利资源利用的极致和典范，这是当代水利人骄傲，水利人的神话。这是我在大学上的关于水利的第一课，也是最难忘的一堂课。她让我看到了做一个水利人的崇高和伟大，也让我懂得了做一名水利人的责任和艰辛，更让我坚定了做一名水利人的信心和决心。

After graduating from college, I came back to my hometown and worked in the Water Conservancy Management Bureau of GanFu Plain.Here was the place I was born and grew up, and now it becomes the place I'm working and striving for.Isn't this a kind of fate?The Water Conservancy of GanFu Plain is a bright pearl in the south area of the Yangzi River.She brings benefits to our people.She's a welfare project, a lifeline project.I'm attracted toward her and love her.I'll use my knowledge and hardworking to take care of her.大学毕业后，我回到了家乡，进入了赣抚平原水利工程管理局工作。我在这里出生，在这里成长，现在在这里工作和为未来打拼，这何尝不是一种缘分？赣抚平原水利工程是江南的水利明珠，她造福了赣抚大地的人民，她是一座幸福工程，命脉工程。我向往她，热爱她，我要用我的智慧和汗水去呵护她。

At first, I was aigned to a basic management station.The mainstay of our unit is composed with ten key projects and two main channels.The principle duties of the station are to maintain the fundamental projects and channels in its domain.Most of the stations locate in outlying villages.Although the living conditions were not very good, our colleagues regard here as their homes and are conscientious and meticulous work.Month after month, year after year, we observe the water level, adjust the sluice gate, protect the levee.This holdout, this earnest and this responsibility give me a new feeling of the connotation of this work.My colleagues treated me kind, not only to teach me with working method,but also to take care of my living.I put myself into this big family to work together,to live together,to share happine together,to enjoy the comfortable life together.I love this job and everything here gradually.While working,I used my spare time to learn knowledge about water conservancy.With more knowledge and remarkable job,I'll try my

best to make contribution in this carrer.刚开始，我被分配到基层管理站工作。赣抚平原灌区骨干工程是由十大枢纽和东西两条总干渠组成。管理站的工作主要是负责做好其管辖范围内枢纽工程、渠道的运行维护和保养。工作地点都位于较偏远的乡村。虽然工作生活条件不是很好，但这里的同事，能以站为家，爱岗敬业。观测水位、调节闸门、上堤护堤，月复一月，年复一年。这份坚守，这份认真，这份责任，让我对水利工作的内涵有了新的感受。同事们对我很友好和善，不仅手把手教我工作方法，还对我的生活关心照顾。我把自己融入到集体大家庭中去，和大家一起工作，一起生活，分享那工作的乐趣和田园般的惬意。渐渐地我爱上了这份工作，爱上了这里的一切。我一边工作，一边用业余时间学习水利知识，我要用更多的知识和更出色的工作为水利事业做贡献。

Two years later, I entered the water administration branch through competition, stepped on the water law enforcement position, really started the journey of protection of irrigation projects and channels.This work is a glorious miion which shoulders to protect water projects, water environment and water resources in our irrigation area, however, it is also a new work.Owing to weak awarene of environmental protection, some residents and units along our channels used to throwing domestic wastes and discharging sewage into the channel.Destroying the levee to steal water, setting up illegal buildings on the levee, etc.these are common phenomenons against water law.The great difficulties, resistance and intensity of the water administration work are scarcely imagined to ordinary people.Neverthele, I'm still paionate to get the job done one by one.I think, as long as we have a dedicated spirit, a fiery heart, a good skill, we are certainly able to do our best in our job.两年后，我通过竞争上岗到水政科，走上了水政执法岗位，真正踏上了保护灌区工程及渠道的征程。水政执法工作肩负着保护灌区水工程、水环境和水资源的光荣使命，但是水政工作也是水利的一项新的工作。由于沿渠群众和某些单位的法律意识和水环境保护意识淡薄，人们习惯于向渠道内乱仍垃圾废物、排污。破堤取水、乱搭乱建等随意侵害水工程和水资源现象十分普遍。所以，水政工作，难度之大、阻力之多，强度之大都是常人所不了解的。尽管如此，我还是充满热情一件一件地把工作做好。我想，只要我们有一种执着的精神，一颗火热的心，一身好的本领，我们就一定能把我们要做的事情做好。

Until now, I've worked in the water industry for more than four years.I witneed the development and progre, the reform and innovation of our irrigation area.Since the choice of water resources, I must devote myself to preserve the interests of my unit and provide effective services to people in this area.I'll keep on

going with this career and show my vitality and value to write the water resources life of my own.至此，投入水利行业已有四年多了，亲眼见证了灌区的发展与进步、改革与创新。我既然选择了水利事业，就要致力于维护灌区的利益和服务灌区人民。我将继续将自己的青春融入这份事业，展现自己的活力与价值，书写属于自己的水利人生。
