In my opinion, acquire new knowedge and cultivate a spirit of independence is the purpose of higher education.Firstly, knowedge can energize people.When students accept higher education, they can easily obtain knowedge through books from the library.They can read many new books contain new theories that they haven’t know in their own experience.And if they can apply these new theories to their present practices then they will be streets ahead of everyone else.Secondly, before students enter university, they have never had an independent life.Away from their parents and living on their own, they will develop independence through the campus life.It is not just being able to do things on their own, it is also thinking for taking care of themselves and the people around them., and becoming a true individual.They need to show responsibility for their own actions and are accountable for any harm they do to others.They will make mistakes but they will get independence by learning from their failures and gain self—improvement.That’s why most people want to accept higher education to become a better person and earn a better life.
