首先说说专四作文第一篇作文的结构：
1.第一部分引出话题，摆明立场。个人观点一定要鲜明，不可模棱两可，也不要中立。是
就是，不是就不是。赞成就赞成，反对就反对。
2.第二部分陈述你的观点，用两个或三个例子来支撑你的论点，要解释为什么，并简要提
出解决办法。段首要有中心句。主题和重点要突出。有些同学写作时比较容易跑题，引用例子和陈述观点时要注意扣题。注意One topic, one paragraph.中间陈述观点的两个方面可以分开两个段来写，也可合为一段写。建议大家在考试时分两段，这是Aden 的批改习惯。
3.第三部分回应你在第一部分的观点，对话题做一个小小的总结。回应第一段时句子不要
单纯复制第一段陈述观点的句子，应用另一种语言来restate your two topic sentences.国家专四写作考试要求第一篇作文字数为200左右，但Aden 平时布置作业习惯是150字左右的，所以大家在考试时写150字左右就可以了，若写不出那么多东西，也要起码120字。期末考试时间为一个小时，有足够的时间给大家写作文，所以请大家写作文时细心点、耐心点，认真点写，想清楚了再写，尽量避免低级语法错误和避免表达不清。考试的形式就和我们考专四作文的形式一样，给出一个话题你，然后写作文。考试不难的，且Aden挺好人的，他也不想大家挂科，大家不用太担心考试的难度。考试时你若提早写完作文可以提早离开，但不要太早，最好起码过了40分钟再走吧。到时考试时若你很想那么早走就自己跟Aden 说吧。
以下我为大家总结的写作常犯错误不仅仅是为了考试的，大家以后写英文作文时若犯了较多错误可以看看。当然，大家看了以下常犯错误后也不用太紧张，在写作时若有太多顾虑，太束缚自己又不好了，总结常犯错误我只是想提醒下大家。
其次，简要总结下同学在写作中常犯的错误：
一、句子：
1.… the reason why … is …
Reason 和because 在同一个句子中出现，意义重复了，应删掉because
2.Then …
Also…
Besides…
So…
以上四个词英语中是不把它们放在句首的，而是把它们放在句中的：
…, then...…, also...…, besides...…, so...3.流水句，不经意间将两个相互独立的分句直接用逗号连接，而不使用平行连词或其他适
当的连接手段。
如：San Francisco is a very cosmopolitan city, there are people from many cultures and ethnic groups living there.改正这类错误，最直接的最简单的改法就是增加连接词，通常为and 或but，但有时硬硬地加and 和but会使语意不是很连贯。使用连接手段应该根据语意、两个分句之间的联系等情况使用句号、分号或平行连词（and, but等）、主从连词（although, because等）。
4.It is …
这一句型表达的意思通常是很模糊的，因为it 可以指很多东西，所以在英文写作中要尽量避免使用It is …句型，除非你写it is …这一句前面有非常清楚的指代，让人不用思考就知道it 指的是什么。
5.Such as … and so on…
在英文中such as 和and so on 是不可用在同一句中的，因为这两个词组用在同一句中的会造成语义重复。
6.中国式英语
这是一个令我们许多人纠结的问题，我们要写的专四作文要求不是很高，大家在表达时尽量不要弄得太复杂，简单明了就行了，许多我们中国人特有的语言如“提高了国际形象”等应尽量避免。
7.句子成分不完整
如：For example, the increase in the cost of renting an apartment.Many people who get married before they are mature enough.这个句子细看一下，大家可以发现这两个个句子没有谓语。for example 后面引出的例子是完整的一个例子，要用完整的句子来表述。还有，for example 在作文中用一次就够了，不宜用太多次。第一句要重新加上谓语，如：For example, the increase in the cost of renting an apartment has increased。Who后面的是定语从句，修饰many people, 是一个从属分句，在这句中把who 去掉就可以了。
8.There is/ are …
这个句型也可造成表达不清，大家应尽量避免。还有，大家用这个句型比较经常犯一个错误：There are many students read books in the library.这个句子有两个谓语了，所以为避免这种错误这个句型应尽量避免。

注意：our 在英语中是指something shared, 在英文作文中用our 范围太笼统了、太广了，应
尽量避免在写英文作文时用它。
除了个别习惯搭配外，为了使英文文章简单、清晰，写作文时应尽量避免用过多介词，如说the development of the economy，不如说economic development 好。

1． because 指直接、明了的、有根据的原因，可放在句首或句中；for 表推测的原因，不一
定成立，语气最弱，常放在句中；since 指几乎大家都知道的原因，意为“既然”，可放在句首或句中。在使用这三个词时切勿乱用。
2． 写作时要尽量避免用人称代词，因为它们太口语化，显得考试的作文不够正式，且在作
文中容易导致指代不明。
3． 不要用many 修饰不可数名词，不要用much 修饰可数名词
4． 尽量避免用it 指代事物，因为it 可以指代很多东西，虽然你知道it 是指什么，但改卷
老师和读者并不清楚，他们要看it 前面的甚至全文的内容才可能知道it 指代什么，所以要避免。
5． 尽量不要把介词或介词词组放在句首。
6． 尽量避免用our。
