各位老师、同学们：

大家早上好！我是605班的陈方杰，很荣幸能在国旗下讲话。今天我演讲的题目是《毅力是聪明才智的基础》。

毅力是一种心理现象，它是一个人顽强的、持久的意志力量的表现。我们每一个人身上都潜在的具有各种各样的毅力，如克服困难的毅力，努力学习的毅力，为完成某项任务不达目的誓不罢休的毅力等。因此，我们不能说一个人有没有毅力，而应该说他是否善于或敢不敢于发挥自己的毅力。一个善于发挥毅力，并能持之以恒的人，他一定拥有超凡的聪明才智，最终成为一个事业成功的人。

古往今来，无数仁人志士，先哲贤人，他们成功的事例，无可辩驳地证明了这一点。众所周知，我国古代史学家司马迁受宫刑之辱，牢狱之灾，可有谁能想到，他却凭着顽强的毅力，用四十多年的时间，完成了惊天巨著《史记》。我国已故著名数学家陈景润就是这方面的典范。“一分耕耘一分收获，几多辛苦几多幸福，在成功的人们看来，幸福就是在苦苦求索中增长自已的聪明才智。而这种求索的'过程是靠顽强的毅力来支撑的。前不久，我国第一艘载人航天飞船“神舟五号”成功升空，也不是一个偶然现象，它凝聚着中国航天人多少心血啊！是中国航天人智慧和毅力的结晶。在中国航天史上，从“两弹一星”到“神舟五号”历经了大约半个世纪，如果没有中国航天人顽强的毅力和坚持不懈的精神，怎么会有今天的“神舟五号”成功升空呢？

今天，作为小学生的我们，能否善于发挥毅力就理所当然地成为衡量一个人是否拥有聪明才智的标准。然而，我们中的许多同学却不以为然，他们错误地认为毅力只不过是惩罚自己美丽的谎言，于是乎，他们做事总是虎头蛇尾，无果而终。到头来，他们只会平平庸庸，碌碌无为，原有的聪明才智不仅没有得到应有的发挥，反而被耗费一空，难道这不是因缺乏毅力而造成的吗？

孟子说：绳锯木断，水滴石穿，冰冻三尺非一日之寒。它强调的不正是毅力的作用吗？

同学们，你想拥有过人的聪明才智吗？那么，请你发挥顽强的毅力吧！因为，要想成为聪明才智的人，只有一条道路，那就是坚持不懈，锲而不舍地追求。

我玩电脑可算是着了迷。特别是寒暑假，我一连几个小时都趴在电脑桌上，真是聚精会神，连奶奶喊吃饭也听不见。这时爷爷总是抽着香烟过来唠叨：“该歇歇了，会弄坏眼睛的'。”我总是不以为然，继续玩我的。

三年级上学期，我到医院检查视力。一查，吓我一跳！呀，我近视了，三百多度！医生说：“玩电脑最伤眼，以后可要注意啊！”我回到家，一连6天都没玩。到了第7天，我实在忍不住了，就给自己找了个理由：一周玩一次问题不大吧。于是我又玩了起来。到了第二周，我想一周玩两次也不算多，比其它小朋友还少呢。到了第三周，改成玩三次了……

有一天，我在玩《三国演义》，正在兴头上，爷爷抽着香烟又过来唠叨了：“怎么？老毛病又犯了？瘾可真大呢！怎么就改不掉呢？”我很生气，就回了他一句：“那你抽香烟为什么也戒不掉呢？”说完我又后悔：爷爷曾多次戒烟，不是改吃瓜子，就是改吃水果糖，但都失败了，最后还是老样子。我本想刺激他一下，他会走的。谁知他说：“哦，好小子，跟我较上劲了！那好，咱们打赌：从明天起，我戒烟，你戒电脑游戏，一周只准玩一次。看看睡赢！”“一言为定！”我说，“只要你能把烟戒掉，我一次电脑也不玩。”我心想，爷爷肯定会失败，于是我毫不犹豫地跟他拉了勾。

第二天，爷爷真的不抽烟了，一口也没抽。一周过去了，一口也没抽。一个月过去了，一口也没抽……他胜利了。我觉得自己太残酷，就说：“爷爷，你想抽就抽一口吧，我不会再玩电脑了。”爷爷说：“这不是抽不抽的问题，而是衡量一个人的毅力问题。一个人要想做成一件事，或是改掉某种坏毛病，除了下决心以外，还要有坚强的毅力去完成。”

爷爷戒烟有两年了。我也有两年没怎么玩过电脑游戏了。中途虽然玩过几次，还是爷爷劝我的。那“瘾”可真的戒掉了。

在一个幽暗的草丛里，很潮湿，住着一只有毅力的蜗牛。它非常清楚自己爬得超慢，并且对自己的环境也不满意，想通过自身努力改变自己的生存状态，为此不放过任何一个送上门来的机会。

有一天，它在家里吃饭时，突然看到窗外有一张纸，便慢慢开门把纸条拿过来一看，兴奋地不得了，可是又悲伤起来。

原来上面写着：百货市场最佳优惠，谁在明天八点钟到达百货市场并签名，第一个到会有一座新房子等你。蜗牛早就想换一座新房子并且还空气要好，这一次绝对不能错失良机。

于是，他立刻就出发，它爬呀爬啊，来到一条小溪边，这里是好朋友小鱼的家，小鱼看蜗牛半夜地爬，不知道这是怎么回事，便问：“小蜗牛，你这么晚去干啥？”

蜗牛说：“去保护市场啊。”

小鱼讥笑道：“就你，这速度，可能吗？”

蜗牛没有理会它，继续往前爬，很快来到山脚下的好朋友小猪家。小猪见了，也很好奇：“蜗牛老弟，你臻美晚了去哪里啊？”

“去百货市场。”

“就凭你要爬猴年马月，还是让鼠老弟背你过去吧！”

终于到了山下了，小老鼠从洞里窜出了，叫停了蜗牛：“等等，刚才小猪老哥来电话了，要我背你一程，来吧，上我的背！”

“谢谢你的好意！我要通过自身的努力去获取成功。”

说罢，蜗牛加快了步伐，正好八点整到了百货市场，取得第一名好成绩，赶紧签上名字――不一样的蜗牛。

蜗牛用自己的毅力创造了奇迹，住进了新房。

“嘘――”，“赛场”上一阵安静。时间仿佛停止了，掰手腕正要拉开帘幕了。

“预备――开始！”裁判一声令下，我手如大禹治水的那根定海神针般，笔直的，无论对方怎样用力，我的手还是纹丝不动，我盯着对方的眼睛，只见他一会儿翻翻白眼，一会儿呲牙咧嘴，脸涨得通红，但还是不甘示弱。

看着他那好笑的眼神，一会儿上，一会下，又摇了摇头，身体不住地蠕动，被他都逗笑了，不禁开始“哈哈哈”地笑出了声。开始，我们不分上下，可是现在，我的手明显得向下斜了三十几度，我急了，眼睛眯成了一条缝，可是，他的那只手仿佛有几亿万吨，把我压得不能动弹。

眼看着就要输了，我顿时手臂上青筋暴起，眼睛完全闭上了，我的手一点一点，慢慢地向上移动，我离中线近了，更近，还差四度、三度，终于，我越过了中线，向下压去，突然间，我觉得手臂无力，就像一个人不停地再给我挠痒，又笑了起来，我的力气正在一点一点地分散；我的心思，正在一点一点地飞出；我的手臂正在一点点地下垂。我感到惊讶：我的力气又不亚于他，怎么会这样？正当我沉迷在笑意和思考之中，突然“咚”的一声，我的手被压在了“五指山”下。

“为什么我的力气比他大，怎么还是比不过他呢？”我又一次沉浸在了这个问题中，突然脑袋中闪过一个答案――掰手腕考验的是毅力，谁坚持到最后，谁就能成为王者！

大家早上好。

学校邀请我，利用周一晨会的时间，和同学们讲一讲。说到讲，我想到了捐资设立\“景忠讲堂\”的韩定旺先生。韩定旺先生是我们学校72届校友。 20多年前，他怀着创业梦想，放弃了端得稳稳的\“铁饭碗\”,从\“体制内\”走出，南下海南，投身商海，创办卫康制药公司。，将公司迁回潜山。目前卫康制药公司是集研发、生产、销售为一体的综合性现代制药企业，连续三年入选工信部全国医药百强企业。每年向国家上缴税收上亿元。

冰心曾经说过：\“成功的花，人们只惊慕她现时的明艳!然而当初她的芽儿，浸透了奋斗的泪泉，洒遍了牺牲的血雨。\”任何白手起家的创业者，他所走过的历程都不会平坦，韩定旺校友同样如此。我与韩定旺校友聊天的时候，问到他成功的秘诀，他认为，毅力很重要。他直言不讳的说：没有毅力的人是废物。对他如此裸露的表述，我先是震惊，后来仔细一想，深表赞同。

英国作家狄更斯有句话说：\“顽强的毅力可以征服世界上任何一座高峰。\”古往今来，大凡在事业上做出突出成绩的人，无一不有着巨大的毅力。 越王勾践卧薪尝胆的故事众所周知。试想，一国之君，先前是花天酒地，貂裘锦袍，现在忽然要让他独居陋室，舔食苦胆，没有巨大的毅力是决不可能做到的。但是勾践做到了，而且是连续三年。假如他没有那么大的毅力，没有持之以恒的励精图治，就不会有\“三千越甲可吞吴\”的一雪前耻了。毅力，是成功的保证。曹雪芹没有\“批阅十载，增删五次\”的毅力，就不会有《红楼梦》的横空出世;司马迁没有隐忍苟活、忍辱负重的毅力，就不会有《史记》的流芳千古;史铁生没有直面苦难、身残志坚的毅力，就不会有平凡之中伟大人生的传奇。

当然，对于我们野中学子，毅力的作用还不仅仅在于战胜困难。我们同学们是通过中考从全县的考生中挑选而来的。全县每年中考的考生保持在5000人左右，能够到我们野中读书的不过七八百人，也就是说，我们最差也是从六个当中挑一个挑到野中的。毫无疑问，我们是潜山县同龄人中的佼佼者，我们现在站在这里的是潜山花季、雨季少年中最优秀的群体。如果说潜山要出尖端人才的话，从我们当中出现的概率应该是最大的。不要看我们现在站在这2千多人的操场上显得微不足道，充其量不到千分之一，但是，在你的家乡、在你所在的村子里，你可能还像\“佛\”一样被供着，在你的亲朋好友中，你可能还是他们教育孩子学习的榜样。历数潜山出现的`人才，无论是商业翘楚，学术精英，还是共和国将军，大多毕业于野中。我们完全有能力、有希望从优秀走向卓越，成为引领行业发展的成功人士。而任何一个人的成功，都是多年如一日，专心致志，坚忍不拔的结果。

联想到长眠于我们校园的985位国民革命军48军176师的抗战英烈。他们当时不少只有大家现在这么大年纪，他们在1932年一二八淞沪抗战中粉碎了日本司令盐泽四个小时占领上海的狂言，坚守上海34天。用头颅和热血，洗刷中华民族的耻辱，捍卫祖国的神圣领土。 \“在国民党正规军队和中华民族中的影响至巨至深\”.他们在1937年的八一三淞沪会战中，更是写下了\“一寸山河一寸血\”的抗战壮歌。血性男儿，浩气长存。从这个意义上来说，我们磨练坚强的毅力，也是对抗战英烈的一种缅怀，对抗战精神的一种继承和弘扬。

非常遗憾的是，我们的同学们毅力表现不尽于人意。或许是独生子女的原因，或许是现在物质条件好了，我们的同学们缺少克服困难的勇气和不达目的不罢休的毅力。有的同学有目标，但是对目标的追求缺少付出，三天打鱼，两天晒网，遇到困难就开始退缩，发现成绩下滑就开始垂头丧气，怨天尤人。有的同学完全是凭心情学习，心情不好的时候什么事情不想做，心情好的时候又想干的别的好玩的事情。形成的结果是，学习成绩越来越差，人生进步越来越小。

其实，名人就在我们身边，榜样就在我们眼前。王侯将相，宁有种乎?别人能行，我们为什么不可以呢?前些年，人们都说农村学校出清华、北大的学生难，我们学校有将近十年没有学生考上清华、北大这样的名校。这几年，我们通过设立特长班、集训班等方式，不也是走出了不少清华北大吗?今年，我们又有三名同学被北京大学录取。事实表明，只要有坚强的毅力，只要有不达目的誓不休的决心，只要有为目标执着的付出，就没有什么不可能!

同学们，岁月总是从不因为人的怠惰而停步，时光也不会因为你的叹息而驻足。当你匆忙留意之时，蓦然回首之际，却早已经是万木欣欣向荣的季节。江河滚滚滔滔，在诉说着历史的沧桑，在启示着哲人的智慧，在记录着学人的足迹，在催逼着奋进的步伐。\“一万年太久，只争朝夕。\”每一个忙忙碌碌的晨昏，都有着脚踏实地的人们，去播种新的希望，去孕育新的希望，去谱写新的辉煌!这付出与收获所蕴含的深层内涵，留待我们同学们去细细品味。作为一名野中学子，我们应该不断磨练坚强毅力，努力成就幸福人生。

磨练坚强毅力，我认为就是不仅要做好自己想做的事，而且要做好自己不想做的事情而又必须要做的事情。不能依据自己的情感来做事情，而要根据自己的需求、父母的期望、社会的要求来做事情。

我们首先要学会克制，理性地看待、处理学习生活中遇到的种.种事物。必须要承认在我们身边存在许多我们看不惯的事情，尤其是新近发生的事情，我们可能一时难以转变观念去坦然接受。老师变了，没有初中老师那样与我们近距离的交流;同学变了，没有以前同学那样友善，而是变得更加强劲，有些难以对付了;学习内容变了，没有初中那样简单了;更重要的是学校环境也没有想象的那样美好，野寨中学原来只是好学生的天下……面对这些新情况，我们该怎么办呢?是逃避、是忍让、还是怨天尤人?不同的想法产生不同的行为，于是自习有人开始讲话、上课有人开始走神，甚至还有旷课。这些都是没有认清形势，不够成熟，比较幼稚的行为。

我们面对学生生活中的种.种改变，不应该是退缩，而应该是积极主动的寻找对策，成为别人的竞争对象。就像面对狼群不应该是逃避和忍让，而应该是与狼共舞。不论怎样，以是否有利于自己的学习和生活为目标，以是否有利于提高自己的核心竞争力为目标。择其善者而从之，其不善者而改之。

it was a long four years. even after i had actually graduated, the nightmares began to haunt me, the university would call to say i hadn’t truly graduated. there had been a mistake and there was just one more class i needed to take. i was always so relieved to wake up and realize that it had only been a bad dream. in reality, i had completed every course needed for my degree, and i was a full-fledged college graduate!

now, the rest of my life loomed ahead of me. sometimes a bachelor’s degree prepares you for a specific occupation——you train to be an accountant, you graduate and get a position in an accounting firm. often, however, your stint in college only prepares you to make further decisions regarding your future. you’re pretty sure what you don’t want to do!

during my senior year of college, i had toyed with the idea of changing my major. at that point, i had finally discovered what captured my heart. but, wanting to finally be finishing school was a stronger pull. so, i took a few courses in physiology and exercise science, but not enough to receive a degree in physical therapy. that would require advanced schooling, beyond my bachelor’s degree——and i just wasn’tready to tackle that. having completed my b.c. degree, i didn’t have any intentions of furthering my education.

so, i did the safe thing and got an office job——the very thing i was sure that i didn’t want to do! i detested the office policies, the suits i had to wear and the downtown environment that i had to drive to every day. i knew this was not where i belonged.

but god knew what path my career was to follow. a position opened up at the most exclusive health club in our city, so i applied. this was my kind of environment——an active, vibrant kind of place——completely at the opposite end of the spectrum from the office environment where i found myself. the position required that i work saturday nights and sunday mornings. perfect, i thought! i could keep my office job monday through friday and work at my dream job on the weekends. this arrangement lasted several months until, eventually, a full-time position opened up and i was able to resign from my office job.

over the next few years, i worked my way up the leader, gaining experience in several different departments. i found my niche as the director of member services——catering to our clientele and providing them with numerous cutting-edge programs. i would have stayed at that job forever——it seemed to be the pinnacle of all my dreams fulfilled. here were fellow employees who had a passion for the same things that i did——health and fitness. yet again, god had other plans for my life.within two years, a newer, bigger, better and more state-of-the-art health club facility was built——just five miles down the road. and, in turn, the owner lost many members to that club. and, in turn, the owner lost thousands of dollars. one by one we were each laid off.

after trying unsuccessfully to land another similar position elsewhere, i knew what i had to do. go back to school!thanks!

It was a long four years. Even after I had actually graduated, the nightmares began to haunt me, the university would call to say I hadn’t truly graduated. There had been a mistake and there was just one more class I needed to take. I was always so relieved to wake up and realize that it had only been a bad dream. In reality, I had completed every course needed for my degree, and I was a full-fledged college graduate!

Now, the rest of my life loomed ahead of me. Sometimes a bachelor’s degree prepares you for a specific occupation——you train to be an accountant, you graduate and get a position in an accounting firm. Often, however, your stint in college only prepares you to make further decisions regarding your future. You’re pretty sure what you don’t want to do!

During my senior year of college, I had toyed with the idea of changing my major. At that point, I had finally discovered what captured my heart. But, wanting to finally be finishing school was a stronger pull. So, I took a few courses in physiology and exercise science, but not enough to receive a degree in physical therapy. That would require advanced schooling, beyond my bachelor’s degree——and I just wasn’tready to tackle that. Having completed my B.C. degree, I didn’t have any intentions of furthering my education.

So, I did the safe thing and got an office job——the very thing I was sure that I didn’t want to do! I detested the office policies, the suits I had to wear and the downtown environment that I had to drive to every day. I knew this was not where I belonged.

But god knew what path my career was to follow. A position opened up at the most exclusive health club in our city, so I applied. This was my kind of environment——an active, vibrant kind of place——completely at the opposite end of the spectrum from the office environment where I found myself. The position required that I work Saturday nights and Sunday mornings. Perfect, I thought! I could keep my office job Monday through Friday and work at my dream job on the weekends. This arrangement lasted several months until, eventually, a full-time position opened up and I was able to resign from my office job.

Over the next few years, I worked my way up the leader, gaining experience in several different departments. I found my niche as the director of member services——catering to our clientele and providing them with numerous cutting-edge programs. I would have stayed at that job forever——it seemed to be the pinnacle of all my dreams fulfilled. Here were fellow employees who had a passion for the same things that I did——health and fitness. Yet again, god had other plans for my life.Within two years, a newer, bigger, better and more state-of-the-art health club facility was built——just five miles down the road. And, in turn, the owner lost many members to that club. And, in turn, the owner lost thousands of dollars. One by one we were each laid off.

After trying unsuccessfully to land another similar position elsewhere, I knew what I had to do. Go back to school!thanks!

Perhaps many people think that a good student can always get high marks in the examinations. In school, the student who gets high marks or full marks is considered to be the model student. After school, when the students come back home, maybe their parents would force them to do more homework to get higher marks. It has no time for these students to do something that is good for their health both in body and mind.

However, in my opinion, I think that to be a good student is not only about getting high marks in the examinations, but also about knowing how to live and get along with others, which is more important than reading and writing. However, the pity is that most of the students spend so much time on their homework. Actually, they should be encouraged to go outside to do sports, listen to music and draw some pictures. As a teacher, we should teach them all kinds of knowledge.

For example, when I taught the lesson about the seasons. I encouraged students to talk about their favorite seasons, go outside to find the beauty of different seasons, take pictures and draw them. They were so happy to do these homework. As a result, they all did a good job.
