a part of an important international community as well

and I think that needs to be particularly recognized

And as far as the confidence goes.我认为你应该这样想

I think you will appreciate that

it is not because you succeeded at everything you did.而是因为我有朋友的帮助

But because with the help of your friends.我不再害怕失败 You are not afraid to fail.如果失败了，你会爬起来重新来过

And if you did fail you,got up and try it again.如果又失败，你会再来一次

And if you failed again you got up and try it again.如果又失败了 And if you fail it again，也许是时候考虑做点别的事了

it might be time to think about doing something else.不仅是因为你们的成功，还有不惧失败的勇气 It was not just succe but not being afraid to fail

And I hope you will have just enough pain

Whether I wish these things or not,they're going to happen.而你们能否从中获益

And whether you you benefit from them or not 这取决于 will depend upon

Now commencement speakers are also expected to

They give grand advice and they give some useful tips.他们最普遍的忠告

The most common grand advice they give

就是做你自己

is for you to be yourself.这是一条奇怪的建议 It is an odd piece of advice

给一群穿着整齐划一的人这样的建议很好笑 to give people dreed identically.不过你们确实应该做自己

But you should and should be yourself.但你们也要明白这句话的真正含义

So that's the deep advice, now some tips

在你们准备走向你们的新学校的时候 as you get ready to go to your new school.在过去的几年里

I've gotten to know many of you young men pretty well
